The name "tornado omelette" makes me sad. Please remember that it is actually "Dress de Omelette" (or Dressed Omelette).
This is a Japanese "Dress de Omelette"(or Dressed Omelette). It was invented by a Japanese restaurant. However, it was arbitrarily changed to a completely unrelated dish name "Tornado Omelette" by Koreans. No one likes to have the name of their national dish changed by a foreigner to something that has a completely different meaning and then spread around the world.
This dish is "Dress de Omelette" (or Dressed Omelette). The name comes from the fact that it looks like a dress. From one Japanese.

Please forgive me if there are some oddities as I am using translation software.
To be honest, I don't know the specific recipe. So I cannot answer if they are 100% the same. It is natural that the ingredients and the way of cooking differ slightly depending on the person who makes the dish.
      Will this be the answer?
To be precise, I don't think it's a bad thing to change the name of a dish. If the country is different, the name may change and spread. However, it is sad that the name was given an unrelated name with a completely different meaning. There is no respect for the cook who conceived and created this dish.
I learned from a Korean comment that the person who popularized the Tornado Omelette in Korea did not disclose that this was a Japanese dish. Therefore, many Koreans mistakenly thought it was a Korean original dish, and it spread around the world. Even after that, it has not been publicized that it is a Japanese dish.
      What it means,
Whether intended by the person himself or herself or not, when a person does not disclose who created the work, changes the name, and acts as if he/she created it, it is called plagiarism in the modern world.
It is just a simple dish. I would not make this comment if this were all I had to say. But Korea has had many things in the past that they claim they were the first to create many things in Japanese culture. So even if it was "just food" this time, I could not remain silent.
