- The Little Sisters of Bioshock are a staple in the game series. Without them, Rapture would have surely collapsed many years before. But, their creation and continued development may have been one of the most disturbing things that had occured within this universe.
Why were these monstrosities created, how did they survive on the streets of Rapture and what eventually happened to these once innocent little girls? In this lore episode, I explore the lore and story behind Bioshock's Little Sisters.

I love that in Bioshock 2 you see Rapture as the little sisters see it and explain 'The angels, Daddy'. But it did make me think that every time you save one, they would be traumatised & terrified of the world you woke them up to after their trance.
Great look on the glaring issue the Little Sisters were in pretty much every way you could think. Along with their protectos, the Big Daddies. For the sake of completion I did the evil endings harvesting them but only once. Outside that, always gotta save them from the city of horrors and collapse. I can't wait for an analysis on Miverva's Den aswell!
I did the same tbh. A least 2 needed to be harvested. It was a necessary evil I guess. That's a great suggestion. I may cover Minerva's Den in a future video!

Absolutely amazing. I've grown to appreciate BioShock 2 over the years, especially the Little Sister worldview. Always felt the harvesting feature in the second game felt out of place considering you're a Big Daddy.
Couldn't agree more! Bioshock 2 was brilliant but that was something that slightly pulled me out of the immersion
So here's a little nitpick you said the Big Daddy's were surgically grafted to the suit okay with the alpha series that was never the case they were just people put into the suits still heavily modified with Adam so much so they can use plasmids it's only years after did the original Big Daddy's that got grafted to the suit which means the bouncer the Rosie the rumbler and the lancer

Be prepared for the most convoluted story there is. I remember a Metal gear story database that was on the PS3 that helped me out a lot to understand it

@@BriChuhime-sama yes! I hope so. I lost my brother just this past March. I was his co-op partner... any games he wanted to play that had a co-op mode we'd play. I don't have a co-op partner now and that's what hurts and makes me miss him. But I believe they are proud of us for sure! 🥰

In my case (especially BS1), they irritate me so much with their melodramatic behavior that I developed a psychopathic hatred for them to the point where I lost count of how many I harvested after killing the Big Daddies for sport.

my favorite bioshock game is bioshock 2..unless you count DLC then its Minerva's Den
Played Bioshock 1 on the 360 and it was an amazing game. I have still to play the rest of them. I would love to see a remake of these fantastic games. Thank you for the video!

Never got around to playing bioshock growing up, but I always wanted to. This lore video was pretty good.
Any chance you might take a look at the Skullgirls series someday? The lore behind some of the characters is surprisingly dark. Might make for some good vids.

Shame they kinda ruined the entire point on the game by having rescuing them be more rewarding than harvesting them.
I mean you could argue that it's actually a super deep cut to the idea that being good will always ultimately benefit oneself and that some people will chose to cause harm even to the detriment of themselves, but I think that's completely unintentional

Ok the little sisters are demonic and zombie like that’s what makes me scared of them.. well it’s more or less that fact they are just like that isn’t what’s scary the just are as murderous as me in a game
