The serged seam looks a bit stretched out. Differential feed at a setting greater than 1 can prevent this.

How about needles, do you need a needle specifically for knits?

For stretch and knit fabrics, it is recommended to use a ball point needle between the sizes 75/11 - 90/14 depending on the thickness of your material when sewing.
