I like Noam Chomsky very much because of his calm and down-to earth-behaviour. He never gesticulates like a vendor on a market place but puts enormous emphasis on the issues he wants to express. It is exhausing to listen to him carefully, but once you have done so you realize he has given you tremendous lot of information.

Chomsky has been a guiding force in my life. He's what woke me up to anarchism and the real corruption of state power, industry and business interests and corporations. Emma Goldman cemented me forever into a life of anarchy. Respect and empathy to you all, my fellow humans. Let's destroy the status quo so that we can create a better world.

@@bipedalbob Concentrations of power lead to corruption and abuse of it. That's why our Founding Fathers created 3 separate but equal branches of government (though Congress has seen it's power dwindle over time to the Executive). Animal Farm was about a communist state, CartoonMan! is discussing anarchism, the abolishment or severe repression of the state, the opposite of Animal Farm. Chomsky himself considered himself to be a Libertarian Marxist - Libertarian as in power to all the people with limited government oversight if any, and marxist as in critiquing the capitalist economic system.

Reminiscent of my families' ancestor, abolitionist John Brown who with his 2 sons gave their lives attempting to rouse millions of slaves to HELP THEMSELVES which they did NOT. Just like Chomsky and the entire rest of Americans do today.

But what you fail to realize is the rich have no HUMANITY, no empathy or compassion. They are SUB humans who do not have the full range of human emotion. THEY CANNOT BOND IR FORM INTIMATE BONDS with other human beings! ESPECIALLY their OWN CHILDREN. The demons are fully aware of the harm they do BUT THEY SUPPLY THEIR EGO by inflicting pain and suffering on others! They are addicted to it AND BECAUSE of their grandiosity cannot accept responsibility for harming and always look for a scapegoat or a way to gaslight a person into QUESTIONING their own sanity. When the bible says, "it's as impossible for a rich man to enter the gates of heaven as it is for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle" it's because the narcissist CANNOT EXPERIENCE HEAVEN. They are imprisoned in their own HELL. It leads to their pathological envy which drives them to harm others. When you are shocked and bewildered by a serial killer or a child abuser/molester, it's because you are holding the false belief that ALL people think and feel LIKE HUMANS with a full range of human emotions. These SUB humans can kill and harm because THEY FEEL NOTHING FOR THEIR VICTIMS. They don't comprehend another's HUMANNESS. To these deranged individuals, they care about another like a norman person CARES about a chair or a spoon. A real human can experience HEAVEN ON EARTH but if a SUB human sees the bliss being experienced, they want to destroy it. Maybe the virus will cleanse the earth of these demons OR the virus will take the EMPATHS to heaven where it will be FREE from SUB humans. Separating the WHEAT from the chaff. If you've never had the misfortune of encountering a SUB human, you have not AWOKEN!

Examples are: Stalinism to correct capitalism and Islam to correct Judaism/Christianity.

Indeed, it did. Quite a lively one, in fact! One particular question struck me as quite hilarious even (though due to the reaction to it, not in itself).
A girl, I think, asked if we should not all choose to become vegans (or at least reduce meat consumption?) in light of the topic of climate change since doing so would massively reduce agricultural land use, water waste and pollution. The audience ... well, let's just say that most there made their disapproval audibly heard after that question was asked. Chomsky (who in his age now has hearing problems) then went on a tangent when answering this either because he misunderstood, had the question not repeated to himself correctly or did it intentionally. In any case, that part was kinda fun to watch. Maybe one reason why it wasn't uploaded though I don't know if the DAI does so in general.

China's source of cheap labour is slowing - as the migration of peasants from countryside to city dwindles. It will now look to neo colonies in Africa for that cheap labour source. Moreover, China is not rich in either oil or food -meaning it will begin to worry that it might become a large version of North Korea, cut off from global trade for alleged international transgressions. Stan Jones I like Peterson, a lot, but I don't think he's critical enougg of the west. It isn't his jib to be, but it makes his commentary on international politics rather stilted.
To answer your question directly: I have no idea. Watching the internet try to moderate the discussion between Peterson and Harris was absolutely hilarious, and I see plenty of situations where that would happen. On the other hand a civil discussion between Peterson and Chomsky would be cool to see.

    • @stanjones2126

      Ej Jones
Peterson and Chomsky would be an ugly confrontation, not civil. Probably even worse than the one between Harris and Chomsky. I admire both Sam and Noam but NC/JP would be another clash of egos. Winning the argument being more important than the search for truth. Neither would accept loosing in a war of ideas. Chomsky has long been, in my view, a useful and consistent critic of American aggression.

the ever-present praise one invariably finds in support of chomsky's consistent, if infantile and philosophically unreconciled-humanist position, is reflective of the mass neurosis that finds a direct parallel with what is diagnostically known of as codependency and enabling behavior. no wonder then that chomsky unilaterally (and childishly under-informed) condemns psychotherapy as: " [a] useless waste of time." an almost unanimous pattern of virtue signaling amongst the viewership/audience becomes recognizably dogmatic in these comments, as elsewhere in the multitudinous presentations of chomsky's profoundly repetitive, decades-long monologue. this phenomenon also has a clinical classification; communal narcissism. what is truly ironic is the fact that chomsky himself warns against over-identification with specific ideologies, ie, fascism or neo-liberalsim. alas, the 'progressive' (again noting the irony here) left seems incapable of the kind os self reflection and actualization that might lead to the discovery, and hopefully subsequent transcendence of, their descent and devolution into herding strategies and behaviors of the ideologue. all that being said, chomsky's work in the field of linguistics, that initially led to a fascination with and focus on this man for so many years and the specific instruction of which i personally remain a student, is nothing short of monumental. it is an unfortunate trend that genius has the tendency to outpace the wisdom to know when to stay in one's lane and especially when to stop talking.

So he speaks the "truth" makes "predictions" that reflect govt. in poor light , and yet continues to remain in the good books MIT , Harvard etc???? While other people who challenge any system loose jobs , get arrested for tax evasion ..... Even people who talk about eating Raw food diet are harassed by the govt. agencies. But Chomsky continues to write books, give lectures and continues to receive accolades and support from the highest govt. agencies such as Harvard and MIT . Not to mention he will say in 2.5 hours what he could say in 2 minutes.
He plants seeds in the mass consciousness and gets the masses to focus on his predictions and analysis in order to get help in manifesting what they want . Just as George Orwell was commissioned to do do. They need help in manifesting what they want and the only way is to have masses energies they plans into to reality.
