As a medical professional, she has a duty to provide a safe environment for patients. She exhibits implicit medical bias, just as many of the non-Black medical professionals. We’re literally required to take courses on biases in the medical field EVERY YEAR at our institution. Maybe she should implement that into her practice. Maybe she’d be a better person.
They made that Jackie segment about Quad taking accountability for making the video resurface instead of Jackie taking accountability.
Exactly. And I’m no Quad fan but, you’re not going to make me believe Quad dug up that random video and reshared it 🙄 The deflection was real! Jackie needed to take accountability (like she said Quad never does), stand in it and say, I was wrong, and move on. But playing the victim for something SHE said was wild to me!

She as a black woman did immeasurable harm to black woman and its unfortunate that she and others don't see it because of her past work. They did not fully flesh out Jackie’s part about the YT video at all. They immediately pivoted to Quad being blamed, which was a disservice. They should have had her explain herself and take accountability again for the viewing audience. And asked Heavenly if she shared Jackie sentiments. So much more should have been asked.

If Andy asked her what happened in Quads life as a follow up she should have simply said that's not important what was important at the time was my reaching out to let her know that she was in my prayers. To do what she did was uncomfortable to watch and then to not go over a console her shows exactly what's she thinks of Quad
You’re missing one huge thing.. the women showed WHY Quad (or anyone in their right mind) would ever want to keep in contact with Simone, Toya, Jackie or any of the rest of them. They are vultures to her life and don’t often mean her well. And I’m not even a huge Quad supporter.

Dineva, I enjoyed your review overall but as it pertains to Dr. Jackie, I don’t think you are giving enough credence to the legitimate issues regarding what Dr. Jackie said. She essentially claimed that Black maternal patients fake symptoms. And then in her supposed apology she suggested patients need to do more to protect themselves from the healthcare system that doesn’t take their symptoms seriously. On reunion, she centered the harm she experienced without making space for the harm her words caused. Her castmates didn’t hold accountable for her words at all. Neither did Andy. She doesn’t deserve to be cancelled or threatened professionally or personally because of her past actions, but she should have to both acknowledge and account for her words. Sometimes the mob is outraged by an obvious immorality.

Q stays showing his ignorance about the world, and I know when he went to Florida State University they ain’t taught him that. It’s so dumb and annoying.

As quiet as it's kept production, put out that clip of Jackie because I find it very convenient that it didn't get circulating until married to medicine started showing again.
Perhaps as a black man not defending the incredibly dangerous rhetoric of Dr. Jackie against black women would be a better idea. The things that Dr Jackie said literally causes black women to die everyday. Since when did a couple of good jobs outweigh the many lives of black women? Too often we make the lives of black women so insignificant for a larger causes, but no one else has to bare that burden. Dr. Jackie was wrong and I don't care how many babies she brought in to this world, even one dead black woman is too many, especially if she further fuels the bullshit narrative that black women falsely complain. Dr. Jackie has never had a baby, so the fact that she even states that women falsely complain during pregnancy already makes her point irrelevant. I'd never go to her. And it's doctors like her that make me fear pregnancy and childbirth.

Simone is the real demon of the show. She had no chill when Quad was trying to tell her to be quiet about her niece tragedy. She kept going on and on, and Andy had no sympathy either. Simone is a savage. And the fashions were all horrible. This is the worst all of them ever looked.

That Dr. Jackie take should have been brought to the forefront, I’ve personally been affected by biased medical care while in childbirth and if I didn’t have a doctor who cared, my child and I could have lost our lives. My sister and niece didn’t have a good outcome, their babies passed while they were in childbirth, Dr. Jackie doesn’t get a pass from me.

There were numerous of her current and former patients that submitted videos. Dr. Jackie should have addressed it at the reunion just as everyone else was made to address situations that were unfavorable to them.
