My friend's twin brother went on a deep space mission for a little over eight years but had only had one birthday during that time. When he got back, he and my friend both developed severe birthday inflammation...it really didn't help that he was now seven years and some months younger than her. They tried octificating her birthday but insurance wouldn't cover the space to heal (to be fair, she would've had to circumnavigate the earth seven times in ten seconds and planes that can go that fast aren't yet FDA approved), plus she had trouble keeping track of which days on which months her birthday was. So she started emitting tachyons which led to some very uncomfortable situations...meanwhile, her brother was experiencing a time loop that lasted for a day or two every couple of weeks. Both of them were in and out of the chronology ICU for months. Finally, another deep space mission came up, this time for 30 years, and her brother was sent away again. My friend's symptoms finally eased and they ended up stitching her birthday back together again, though they put it on a different day than her original one. Not sure how her brother is doing, but he won't be back for a few more decades.

Wow, is it that easy? I was having timequakes, went to the emergency chronology ward. But they just gave me a blotter and told me to suck it up. Which did NOT help, I think it made things worse. I don't know if had anything to do with my birthday though. I still get temporal blurring sometimes. Healthcare sucks here in the US.

i'm curious if you considered the sidereal method, i've heard good things about its long term stability but so few surgeons are trained on it (seems like maybe it's more of a thing in europe?), and i know it makes logistics much harder since the days never quite line up (plus the whole sextant routine looks really intimidating and i'd be scared of messing it up). also, what's your opinion on the apps? do they do anything, are there any good ones, is there one you would recommend?
I'm currently just managing the symptoms, there's a clinic near where I live that books out the local glow bowling lanes twice a month. there's usually a few of us who come in, we put on the cones and they guide us through the exercises. but i know it's only a matter of time before I'll need the surgery, it's nice to hear from someone on the other side of it.
I hope your birthdays stay healthy! It's sad how chronological diseases are often overlooked. My sister was born without a birthday, she almost passed of old age in the maternity ward. Thankfully they had an expert chronologist on staff and she got put in stasis while waiting for a donor. They could only find a partial one, and it was tough for her growing up with an irrational age, having to go to the doctor every few months, you know? But at least she'll live longer. Gotta look on the upsides, haha! Thank you for talking about your experience.
