From petrol to homestays, from bumpy roads to exact distance of our destination...felt like we know the valley beforehand... May 2019 I made Spiti possible with my partner .. mostly Traveled by local transport... Himachal Pradesh transport Bus are also good option for backpackers...and to move around kaza u can hire bike ...also sumo are available from kaza to manali and also rampur etc

Completed spiti circuit on 27 June 2022 will like to add few more points to help our fellow riders
1) Road till kaza are very good starting from shimla few bad patches but still bearable
2) kaza - chander tal - Manali Roads are really bad be prepared for that
3) No mechanic or any village between chandertal - Atal tunnel (70 km) carry important parts ( Tyre got punctured and it was disastrous )
4)Try to do komic from langza side because there is a very small cut from other side to komic and most probably you will Miss it like we did and local people are not aware of that route + road is really bad
5 ) Have a happy and safe trip 🎉

Suggestions for Beginners:
- Always start from Shimla towards Spiti (reason: very well explained in the video)
- Always keep this Map as a backup plan in your pocket, but follow a Route Plan for Spiti/Ladakh instead of making it on your own based on this Map...

I recently completed my summer spiti ride from Chandigarh, Shimla circuit and it is very safe and fun to ride. Also, went on a package for winter Spiti.. both are awesome.

Village ROPA(10,000 ft)
There is left cut after 13km from spello. After taking that cut, ride for another 15.8km to reach this village.
It has one of the oldest monastery in kinnaur.
