Hello Dom that is correct. I also used to quantify way too much and my music sounded mechanical. Now I go much more by my ear and get what I usually imagine. Thanks for the video👍🙂

Maybe get DIVISIMATE? ( or maybe Steinberg can build same thing into next Cubase Pro release? )

You can quantize and then shift the track itself in the main setting. I wonder if it's possible to mix quantize and lives playing recorded and stay in sync

Depends on the library. Some of them are fine when quantized because samples are not very precise and without strict quantize they sound like a drunk orchestra ;) Personally I don't like when samples of shorts are sloppy or there's some random algorithm to make it feels 'more natural'. I prefer to do it myself by playing on a keyboard.
Ps. quantized shorts can sound 'sinister' IMO, probably because it's less natural 'robotic' sound - so it can be used in an artistic way. Of course as long as it's not just one sample stretched over the entire keyboard ;)

I always work seperetly with strings for better control.
It would be great if you could share how to fit strings into a mix with bass and drum, or show which instruments we can use in Cubase for better work with strings. Thank you ❤

For the note drawing people like myself, set negative track delay and then manually humanize to get similar results.

Excellent video. Question. Given that orchestras are recorded en mass how much need is there for EQing the individual sections in arrangements?

Could be useful having videos about your favorite transition tips (I just bought Transit using your coupon code ;-)

String are a nightmare. As some who plays a lot of guitar I just want to get that expression out into strings but it’s like playing guitar with a litter picker. One day someone will figure it out
