- Twelve Tone Composition -using the techniques of serial composition to create an infinity of chord structures and never before utilized chord progressions to create music totally your own
I love your "cell" approach to creating unique chord progressions. I never encountered anyone that approached the 12-tone technique in this way.
Most guitar channels usually talk about the same old concepts, ideas and techniques, but I just stumbled upon yours and every video seems really fascinating and eye opening! I'm definitely going to be watching these over the next weeks. So many great concepts. Thank you so much!
Hi Abel thank you so so much !!!!!!!!! have a great day Joe
I've been an avid fan of serial/12 tone for decades and have written some compositions. Thanks for your contribution.
Wonderful!
6:52 minor chord progression F/Dm/bDm/bAm/ there sounds really pretty to my ears
Great man🎉🎉🎉
Once you go atonal, you never comeback… it opens such greater sound vistas
really enjoy your theory ideas for creating chord progressions
thanks, new ideas! very well explained.
I wish I would have played guitar and learned from you Mr Lilore. The sax cant play chords only a note at a time but you taught me how to sound them in arpeggios and scales. You also taught me the difference playing them in improvising like breathing to take a space between lines, that you cant write down the solos its a feeling that you cant write down on paper. Taught me how to make one scale make a song by braking it down, so many musical things I learned from you, The masters of Classical Music, Music composition, etc, etc But the Main thing I learned from you is The love of Music.
12 tone music is hit and miss sometimes it's amazing, sometimes it's trash.
thanks a lot for this lesson, helped me to write something different
Hi Piru thank you so much!!! all my best Joe
Those powder chord voicing sound like something Townshend would compose.
Okay this concept is new to me. How do I determine what 12 notes to pick ??? Is there a guide or a theory rule for this
Atonal music has a very complex emotional quality you can't quite get with tonal music
