      @garyboyle695 being born in a barn doesn't make you a horse. She's not British, none of the immigrants or their children post war are British. Ask yourself why the white people in India were made to leave when the empire fell, despite having lived there for generations? Because they weren't Indian. Stop being such a morally weak coward.

      The thing about Begum is an irony in the context of Christian forgiveness, she was a teen, she had been raised in a community that was positive to her radicalization. David said, “forgive me the sins of my youth.” The UK has active members of Militant Islamic groups running all over the place killing people and Begum is their big worry? She should have been returned to the UK with conditions. Jesus Christ also said, “Forgive them Lord, they don’t know what they are doing.” Forgiveness is a subject long debated in the Christian faith, where is stops and starts, if anyone sues you for your tunic give him your cloak too… If Jesus is the example of how far we should let our enemy go, none of us hold a candle.

      A man who was invited for an interview on a variety of subjects, only to have the interviewer bang on and on for a whole hour about the same topic, refusing to accept his guest's view, refusing to move onto another subject, and then feigning innocent surprise when confronted with his guest's deep dissatisfaction at having been hoodwinked in that way.

    Forgiving has to be one of the hardest things to do, right? And repentance. And sometimes when you see things that go on, or things are really rotten in general, you feel as if you are losing your faith. It is very hard, I know. God Bless you.

    I can turn the other cheek for myself, but I must defend the weak and defenceless. I may not turn their cheek for them. Those who would strike others must discover that there is an authority which will not merely return the blow, but make the would-be striker wish he had not struck.

    • @Tyler_W
      @Tyler_W Před 5 měsíci

      Turning the other cheek has absolutely nothing to do with letting people get away with evil or walking all over you. Edgelord anti-theists who wanted to neuter Christianity (before some of them realized the consequences of their actions) convinced everyone that this is what it was about out of deceit or ignorance. In its cultural context, it was a command talking about peaceful resistance to personal injury and insult intended to make your aggressor shame themselves so that others would see their evil for what it was or so that the aggressor would get shaken back to their senses. The efforts of Ghandi to oppose British imperialism of India is probably a good reflection of what Jesus was advocating with "turn the other cheek."

    Wrong.. Repent in Greek simply metonoia .. changing of one’s mind.. that is the gospel apart from any thing else.. is not bible..

    • @Tyler_W
      @Tyler_W Před 5 měsíci

      Changing one's mind assumes a changing of one's actions, or at least a genuine effort to move in a different direction in spite of setbacks. This is because it is a consistent theme that from the mind flows a person's words and actions. Everybody stumbles and falls to one extent or another. What matters is if you get back up and keep trying to move in the right direction. If you say you have faith, but absolutely nothing about your life reflects your confession, your faith is dead. You may not be saved by your good works, but faith without works is dead. In other words, put up or shut up.
