Weaving of Country Cloth in Sierra Leone

The Country Cloth Communities Development Initiative is an international non-profit and advocacy organisation operating in both the UK and Sierra Leone, promoting the work of communities, traditional weavers and cotton farmers in Sierra Leone.
A blanket and dress are included in the Sierra Leone: Sierra-ously Surprising exhibition at the Cowper & Newton Museum from December 2022 to March 2023 (during Museum opening times)
The exhibition is co-created by the Sierra Leone Community in Milton Keynes, the Olney-Newton Link and the Cowper & Newton Musuem.

What material is the reed made from? I love the ingenuity, weaving is a basic skill for life and truly simple I tend to over complicate it.
