Tiny Tim interviewed on Australian TV by Bert Newton - 1989

Tiny Tim was an American musician and musical archivist. He is known for his 1968 hit song "Tiptoe Through the Tulips", which he sang in a falsetto voice. Whilst touring Australia , on 26 April, 1989 he was interviewed by Bert Newton on his Channel 7 program The Bert Newton Show

The more I learn about Tiny Tim, beyond the surprise hit of "Tulips" and his Carson show wedding, the more I am honestly impressed with him. The medley he performs in this appearance is indicative of his depth of knowledge of popular old songs, from vaudeville, tin pan alley, and even earlier, is really incredible. And he does a great job of performing them - he really is talented! If you are intrigued by this aspect of Tiny Tim, be sure to check out the video if his Luna Park Marathon, which essentially was a 2-hour long medley of well over a hundred songs. The video may not be on CZcams but can be found online. It is an incredible (if a little tiring) thing to see!
