I’ve got the 4ft Birrina 4k shop lights in my garage. I like the 4k because it’s not quite as harsh as the 5k and higher color temps and they have diffused lenses. While it takes more lights to make the amount of light you may want, it ends up with less shadowing and not as harsh when you walk in.

A couple years ago I installed StoneCo Dual Select hi bay lighting in my shop. IT WAS A COMPLETE MISTAKE!! They completely suck. I think Phillips makes something like this. They would be OK for a warehouse or something where you just need a little light to walk through in the dark. HOWEVER, if you are installing lights in a work shop you don't want anything with daylight sensors or motion detectors. It is impossible to get all the lights to come on at the same time. During the day when your shop is "kinda" lit from sunlight sneaking in through a man door or an open garage door and you need it very lit to work on something the lights wont come on.
For your workshop you want a light that comes on with a switch and stays on until YOU turn it off. Don't get suckered into the fancy shit.

How about UFO High bays with reflectors (indirect and direct light) our ceiling its 19' and currently have 2 150 Watts low bay LEDS 6500k deformable pointed straight down, some walls are painted white while others are masonry blocks and I still have shadows in some areas of the shop. Should a 250-watt High Bay UFO 5000k fix that issue with a reflector or without it?
We need a brighter space but not oversaturated.

Tubes are best for 10ft or shorter distances. Glass tubes are best. You could diffuse the super bright flooders by lightly sanding the lens. Not a fan of plastic tubes or lenses. The light and heat degrades the plastic after a few years. Then they crack and crumble.

Cobb as in corncob. Not to be confused with COB, Chip On Board.

    When do you sleep..
Definitely don’t look at them. LEDs are bad for our eyes.
