This brings back bad memories of completing this. I finished this game twice, once on iOS and again on Steam. I think it's still one of my rarest achievements.

Can someone give me an advice or tutorial in Black-White mode (After 60 seconds in Hyper Hexagonest)?
I often die in Black-White mode in Hyper Hexagonest (Once you've reached 60s) when the stair 1 or 2 appears. How can I determine if it is stair 1 or 2? Do I just have to think fast or what? Thank you. :D
Well the difficulty is looking around, maybe the “U” shape is the best way to look out for the stairs.
Im not sure if it's considered good or not, but my highest record is 112.32 on the final level.

I started to grind for world record recently, and I found this video as an evidence for the highest record. BUT there is one improper thing i've noticed:
At the beginning you do very weird trick that includes beginning a level and going back to the menu. After you've done it 5 times on first 5 stages, you began to play on Hyper Hexagonest. I decided to start a timer on my phone at the moment you've pressed start on Hyper Hexagonest stage. After exactly 5 minutes on my timer, your in-game time was 312 seconds, but when i started a timer on my phone, the diffirence between your in-game time and my time was less than a second, which clearly shows that your in-game time is gaining faster than it should (about 4% faster). So, doing that trick at the beginning was intentional and i think that it can even be considered as a cheating, and your real time is not 2732 seconds, actually 2732 seconds is 104% of your true time (without this trick it would've been about 2626-2627 seconds). However, there are no evidences of somebody having more than 2626 seconds or so, your time is still the record, even though it gained through performing unfair actions
P. S. If somebody will get time that more than 2627 seconds but less than 2732, your "2732" seconds record will not be the record anymore
Super Hexagon with v-sync disabled runs at 62-63 FPS, and game speed seems tied to framerate for anything above 60FPS, so both the game and the timer are about 5% faster.
The thing in the beginning is not a trick, it's just something I did for fun, to follow the rhythm of the music track I was listening to at the time.

I tried to play with Vsync turned on and turned off, and noticed that it really increases time gaining rate by a little bit.
It'll definitely take some time to beat your score, my personal best on Hyper Hexagonest stage is 344 seconds now, got it a day ago

@@fieryr I got 522 seconds, then played for like one more month or so and couldn't even get to 300 consistently, so I quit. The game seemed fun for a bit but became monotonic and demotivating eventually.

@@Kriog16 haha don't worry about remembering you about it, and also I'm sad you couldn't achieve what you were hoping for, but I hope you're still happy with what you managed. And afterall, super hexagon does really become monotone after a while. It's a simple game, in the end.

ye well I got there and lost instantly cause I didnt get how it behaves right away. just reaction-wise the first 60secs seem harder though.
When you get good enough reaction-wise the first 60 seconds is easy, and the rest is easy bar occasional curveballs. The black and white is also harder to read.
re you playing with a mouse or keyboard ? i would like to know
Mouse. It's up to personal preference, but in my case my mouse's buttons have less travel time than my keyboard's, which helps to make the cursor respond faster to inputs.

Funny you should say that, about feeling incapable. The very reason I got back to playing this game seriously last year was because I was just playing it to pass the time one day, and I complained in one online community about how I could barely reach 1/4th of my previous best time from 2013. (~800 seconds on Hyper Hexagonest. That was considered an amazing time back then, before JiminP came and set a WR of 1400s that nobody could touch for years.) Someone told me in response, "you're getting old, your reflexes are getting worse". And I wanted to prove them wrong.

The Super Hexagon music is better than your current background music... and my current best is 141 seconds on my Hyper Hexagonest.
No game sound means you probably speed hacked and sped this up, could be wrong but why would you remove game sound otherwise?
That's not how it works.
He managed to set up some music in the gameplay so you won't get bored of the same soundtrack of hyper hexagonest over and over again.

I cannot refute such accusations. Even if the game wasn't muted with my music playing over it, all the game sounds and music are available in the game directory, so someone looking to cheat could just assemble a fake soundtrack imitating the real one in Audacity.
How do you even prove you didn't cheat? I guess one could record their hands and maybe voice too, at the same time, to increase the plausibility of their recording being real.
Record your hands and screen with any clock in the background (not on the screen ofc). You can't speedhack real time (or in case you can there's no way to know this).

you're cheating because the game is normally not that slow, you turn off the music of the game and put other music in the background so that people don't understand!

i understand how hard this must be I can only get 200 seconds in hyper :(
200 seconds is good, most of my attempts end up somewhere in the 200s range. At this point you've seen virtually everything the game has to offer. In my experience, it's all downhill from here, and your best times continue to climb to 400 seconds, then 800, 1000, 1500, and so on... The difficulty remains constant, so the only challenge becomes staying focused and comfortable in one position to ward off your inevitable failure for long enough.
You don't have to play that long to match my time. My cumulative play time is only around 200 hours. Yes, it's thousands of attempts, but I'm not particularly skilled. Most people could beat my time. They just don't care about it enough to keep practicing for so long - they have better things to do.
