Corpse starch, just like me dear old mum used to make. Takes me back to when I was just a nipper, before the implants. Good times. Cheers!
And it gets some more terrain on the board and out of the storage tub! Cheers!
Great pic in pic! Loved the Mad Pianist music 🎶
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome, gonna watch more!
Thanks for stopping in to check it out!
Nicely made
Thanks for stopping by and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely amazing! I don't know anything about oils but oh my it looks pretty
Thank you so much for stopping in! Oils are an animal that I'm exploring through this channel and if you ever have any ?'s, I can always try to help!
So one thing I noticed before you glued down the sand was a few joins in the pipes that looked a touch wonky, not sure if you can still see those in person by the time you finished, but a solution I've seen on a channel that mostly deals with 3d printing is to take a sheet of plexiglass or a floor tile and glues some wet dry sandpaper to it to get perfectly flush sides and level bottoms before assembly.
I also think a quick drybrush of silver either over the whole tile or just the machines before you moved onto the oils would have looked really good.
Thanks for the input. The pipes were wonky a bit and that might be what Mike was referring to when he called these 'failed prints' when he first gave them to me. I used that to make a leaking point with the oils later so it worked out in the end. That drybrush you speak of is always in the list of possibilities on every piece that I do and I sometimes use it but in this one, I thought that it would brighten things a bit too much for the grimdark I was going for with this piece so I decided to skip it on this one.
@@jdinthesumpsea1560 Do you have one of the really dark metallic paints, or maybe thin down a brighter silver with some black ink?
oh yeah totally. I was in a certain groove with this one though and I just rolled with it.
I have started to love "Decayed Metal" from Vallejo.
Just realized I was wrong...I meant "Decayed Metal" from Scale75...
lol didnt even knew PVA glue holds the plastic well. Does Plastic glue work with filament too?
It should yes.... It depends on the filament you are using I would think. The PVA glue always seems to work well on just about all of this stuff and you almost never have to worry about it melting things. It's turned into the go to for almost everything I do these days. Thanks for tuning in!
JD Brand Corpse Stach Paste! "You are what you eat!"
Amazing paintjob and great board piece. When your friend says "mis-prints" he means that the print job failed in some way; like it came out wonky, or printed with defects. But honestly, none of that really matters for necromunda style terrain I think. Love it! How long dyou think it took overall to paint, excluding filming?
including dry time(which I was pushing if you watch the video footage) about 1hr and 15 min on the airbrushing and about 20 min on the oil steps and about 10 on the weathering. WOW! I didn't think about till now..... That was a fast job indeed! Hunh..... :) Thanks for stopping in!
Looks so disgusting 😂 very nice
Thank you!
Properly gross!
:)
