    How come you don't fish of the sides of the polars on the way up to the end? I'd be trying unto the surf as well? Obviously i have no experience of fishing in Denmark. Enjoyed watching thanks Jon

    • @DanskeFiskeEventyr
      @DanskeFiskeEventyr Před rokem +1

      Good question, Jon. The reason is, that I have already been fishing the sides for many years, without that much succes. Now I almost always skip the sides, because I know the fish ain't there that often.
      Think that its also a question of time of the year. I tend to experience, that the fish are hanging more out in the surf and at the sides in the summer time than in the autumn. Perhaps because there is more bait fish/herrings in the surf in the summer time, whereas they are more likely to feed on crabs and crusteceans in the autumn. At least that is what I'm experiencing in Denmark.

    What kind of spinning reel do you use

    • @DanskeFiskeEventyr
      @DanskeFiskeEventyr Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, Aarts!
      It's a Daiwa Certate 3000 I'm using, as well as a W6 Spin 10", 10-40 grams rod. 3000-4000 size reels with a high gear ratio is pretty well suited for this kind of fishing. I'm using a 10" rod to get more reach and controle, when fishing from rocks etc., but I'd recommend the new sea rod W6 Powerstick for boat and kayak fishing. It's shorter and more suitable for sea bass, when you're not in need of that extra length.

      @@DanskeFiskeEventyr hi there, nice video BTW. I have a w6 7-28 shadteez, does this rod works for seabass? Greetz from the Netherlands👊🏻

    • @DanskeFiskeEventyr
      @DanskeFiskeEventyr Před 2 lety +1

      @@hanshofmann81 Thanks, Hans. Yes the W6 Powerteez is perfect for sea bass fishing. Most of the heavier perch rods in the W6-range will work great for sea bass as well. The only thing you have to keep in mind, is which rod will match the surrounding terrain. Etc - A heavier and longer rod for fishing the jetties and rocks to controle the fish otherwise the lighter gear is so much fun if you're fishing from boat, kayak or just the beach, where you don't have to think about snags/obstacles :-)

      This is true, however I want to add that running shoes, especially those with a very soft sole precise excellent traction on wet rocks. What other type of shoes would you suggest? I found that most wading boots do not work much better when seabass fishing.

    • @BassRepublic89
      @BassRepublic89 Před 2 lety +1

      Cut down welly boots like Grundens deckmaster with screw in studs not the cheap studs you want the Tungsten ones they last a long time... if you on a budget hiking boots with studs in them
