Today, I show you how to maximize your frames per second in-game without game-breaking reducing visuals that make the game completely unenjoyable. Assetto Corsa has an awesome online community with tons of custom maps & modifications with AI traffic that can be much more demanding than some people's settings.
If you have a high end build, you won't need to watch this video. If you're struggling to get better FPS without suffering visual quality, this guide is for you.

just watched this step by step with my own little touch to my settings, went from constant 45-55 fps to a constant 90-110 fps, your a life saver
I just found this video. Thank you for making this, I just tried this settings and assetto corsa has never looked this good for me. I use the photo realistic pp filter and the game came to life. Went from 20.8 fps to over 80 fps with an Nvidia gtx 1050!!! Never thought that would ever be possible. Thank you again, definitely got a sub from me.
Edit: Extra FX was a major FPS KILLER.

I have pc which costs bout 900€ and it runs 60/90fps only in small servers which doesn't have lot done to it. Bc I have no hesi servers on ,,ac'' and they are soo laggy even when I set almost everything on low. Only overall quality is on Medium. My screen suports hhdr 4k all dat sh1t, but its still mad bc even on low settings it ain't runing corsa how it should. Soo yhh a lil bit more expensive pc ain't always better my Gs✌️. I will try set today everything to the low. 😭🤦🏻♂️

Russel Harris in the comment has pointed out the Super Resolution isn't doing anything as "Fxaa" and is off in the main tab. Although the Super resolution is not doing anything, this is still adding to the frame rate anyways due to it being off. Nothing changes for this guide for high FPS just make note that the super resolution could technically just stay off :)

They do lack some visuals, but in my opinion the high frame rate and enjoyment playing the game is much better.

i have RTX2070 with 2k resolution monitor but getting 50fps.....if I tuned down to 1080p resolution will it make graphics look worse?
All you should have to do is Go to your monitor and change to 1080P, and in-game change to 1080P. TRY it. If you don't like it, go back. it's the only way to find out :0
Great videos man super helpful, for someone like myself who cant stay out of editing things.... you helped me get back to a great baseline, i had 170 fps... n then changed EVERYTHING... downloaded "500" (Exaggerated) Mods n tracks n car packs.... n from one moment to the next i dropped down to struggling to hold 50 with fps spikes all over the place... was awful... out the 5 (for real) 20minutes videos i came across this was by far the best... Fantastic work dude... Thank you for valuing my time etc. n not filling the video with fluff.

Thanks man all my setting were automatically on the highest I turned everything down because I kept getting a msg about CPU 99% Occupancy so I was getting paranoid and changed and doesn’t seem to be happing no more thanks again
You're welcome, if you're getting high CPU usage or stutters in-game that are 50% FPS drops, also turn off your hardware accelerator on your Discord if you use it while you play as it takes away from your GPU and can cause micro-stutters.
Also, sometimes 16GB RAM won't be enough to run something like Shutoko, Discord, youtube, etc all at once and will give you a CPU warning.
@@scgmike7805 Wait so RAM is what i need to fix the CPU Occupancy issue because the traffic keeps teleporting and it makes it impossible to cut up or drive with them like stuttering and telporting.. how much ram do you think is good?
@@itzsteven1251 I switched from DDR 3200MHZ RAM 16GB to 32GB 4000MHZ RAM and my cpu occupancy went away i'm watching it happen to others.
I would recommend at least 32GB of 3600MHZ 16CL RAM !
Also, the RAM is true if you have a good processor and having this issue. If you have an old shit ass processor then idk it might just be the processor

My input on TAA is that i believe it is only bad on 1080p resolution. I used to think the same thing but after running 1440p, i use TAA in most games and it does a great job smoothing edges and clarity is not impacted, it doesn't look blurry at all, and if it does i just slightly turn up image sharpening to compensate.
Yeah you can use a bunch of different anti-aliasing and even image sharpening from your GPU stuff combined with TAA to make things look really good or bad its really just all preference at the end of the day

Did you do what I recommended and save your normal stock settings?
Nothing in here should make ACS.EXE unresponsive. In my discord, I have a bunch of CSP settings pre-sets and AC video settings if you check out my latest vid.
Those will change all your settings in AC video and CSP and they do work for sure. You can pick one you like :)
also, another tip for people who got some, laptops or something, with a integrated video card, if you add a monitor to your laptop, for example the acer nitro, most of them if not all of them, you can do this, if u add a monitor to your setup and set into your laptop, you actually get more fps in anything you doing, bc the graphics card will be using all of his power only to actual process in the laptop, and the video side goes to the monitor, somone can correct me if im wrong, but im not that into pc ik, I just assume thats what is happening, hope it helps anyone 👍🙏

Cool thanks... I have done it all. My FPS was AVG 141 now it is 152FPS on an i5-1600K and RTX2060 and 32GB ram using the game's benchmark... I did also change other stuff too... But all your videos helped for the past two days... Just the CPU usage is at 68%... It would be cool to lower to 50 or 55%... but I am happy... and +/- 10 FPS will never me noticeable after +90 FPS... Yeah " who cares about the grass quality and shadow?! " ... lol Time for racing now :D

The and super resolution only works with fxaa turned on. And you have yours off. So it does nothing.

if you use amd fidelity fx you need to deactivate sharpening
my fps has significantly improved with little to no difference in graphics thanks alot!

im hitting 60 fps 1660ti overclocked 6200mhz shutoko with traffic is that weird
No, that is very normal, however I can tell you if you follow these settings you will gain FPS at the cost of some of the nice visuals.
For me, playing on Shutoko is about the smooth real life highway experience, I will take off "Extra FX" and use default post processing filters to save myself a ton of frames.
Sometimes it's just about how the game performs, and on Shutoko I don't need everything to look amazing for only 50 fps.
This helped heaps man hugely appreciate the video
idk why but the numbers on the car's dash looks blurry and in the speedometer to, and sometimes the road/asphalt looks like a static tv screen, everything else looks fine tho.

You could try to play around with your anti-aliasing settings,
Sometimes people like to turn on Temporal without the "Extra sharpness" then use AMD fidelity super resolution on Ultra with maxed smoothness, there is a variety of options you can try. Make sure the antisotropical filtering or whatever on the first page is also 16x.
You can try MSAA 8x, and use AMD fidelity super resolution in graphical adjustments, leave temporal off and fxaa off.
You could try using temporal without extra sharpness, enable AMD super resolution, max it out, turn on MSAA to 8x
There is many different options, Anti Aliasing is the process of sharpening objects by blending particles so just keep that in mind and try to find the best result.

I don't play with rain on the most you can do is lower intensity and change drop sizes and stuff but the rain makes me hit 45-55 FPS and I hate it :)

For me its the msaa that causes the issue I have a reshade preset by mcfly (RTX) / RTGI either this or either the CSP settings are messed up somewhere

When I use your setttings it says game crashed: gpu failed might be overclocked too much or overheated but when I use my old settinng it works perfectly. Can you help? Even the replay crashes. I have an i5 4210U nvidia 840m 8gb ram 1366×768 mounted monitor. I have a laptop.

You will be able to play in lower driver servers, and with these settings OR lower. I wouldn't try to play in any high car servers, and your frames might not be as high as 90 but you'll still be able to play

that is normal. Means the max load you're hitting in-game is dropping ur fps. U can change to 70 FPS limit and it wont drop much at all but to get consistent 100 FPS with traffic shit

I would prefer you to watch and understand what the settings in this video do so you can pass on knowledge to others who need help and understand for yourself. I made this video to answer questions and provide people with my settings you just need to copy them :) learn while you do it
ive got a 9yr old laptop , i7 4770k, 12gb ddr3, gtx860M. I had to run it with post processing off, can run high details and stuff but most of it is turned down. looks good visually and get around 60fps average. sol pp was a bit too demanding and would average 48-55fps. also the amd fidelity stuff when turned off put my fps up around 8fps.
