- After several years of meticulous research and restoration, the home of Joseph Smith, the first prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his wife Emma, was dedicated by Church apostle David A. Bednar. Watch to see how the couple lived with their three children and conducted the affairs of a fledgling church in a modest four-room home.
Glad to see elder Bednar having a friendly meeting with Community of Christ officials.
Kindness and Christlike love above all!
Thanks to our God for having revelation in these last days. I'm grateful for the mision of the prophet Joseph Smith.
I hope this October they announce the Church buying the Kirtland Temple from them. It would be so symbolic of many things.
I've been there, and they are not selling even though they can barely pay for the upkeep.
Community of Christ will never sell the Kirkland temple.
I’ve been hoping for that since I was a kid growing up near Kirtland in the ‘80’s.
@@ryanll7312 Never say never.
Community of Christ leadership and members have made it quite clear that the historic House of the Lord in Kirtland is not for sale, and there is not intention to ever sell it. Hundreds of thousands of Reorganized Latter Day Saints have spent decades keeping the temple functioning as both a working building of community gathering and interfaith worship, and as a historical site open for all people of all faiths.
I love that the church has created and restored this building. Thank you ❤️❤️
Thank you Elder and Sister Bednar. The heavens are open, we love and thank Prophet Joseph Smith and Emma Smith forever! 🤍
Good to see my old friend Community of Christ apostle Lachlan E. Mackay who is a noted historian, and a direct descendant of Joseph and Emma Smith. As a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a longtime member of Community of Christ, it is good to see leaders of both churches working together and literally walking together to keep the historic properties of the original 1830s church functioning for historical tours.
What a blessing to the Church, to the Saints, and to the World! The Lord is good. 👍👍👍
The community of Christ excellent job of taking care of the Kirtland temple. The tour guides are excellent and the property pristine. Why fix something that isn't broken.
One day! I'll go there
Just amazing... A great blessing
Thank you for another great video. 👍👍
I really hope some of the members of the Community of Christ and other believers in the Book of Mormon can feel welcomed to come join with us. I hope one day for all of them to come.
Why not join with them?
Love this ❤
💛...
Beautiful home, beautifully well-restored 🙏💙
In my opinion, I actually don't mind at all if our brothers and sisters of the Community of Christ continue to own and maintain the Kirtland Temple. They are good people and deserve to cherish our shared history, too. We have hundreds of temples. They have only two, I believe. Possession of historical sites is not a competition.
;)
Please know that the LDS church pay for the maintenance of the Kirtland Temple
God bless everyone
❤
Wonderful!
❤️😍🥰👏👍💪
I am really touched in know and mestre more the poor and humble life that was the Elijah from our times and came the light tô the world. Loved the video
I can't wait the day the Church announces the ownership of the Temple in Kirtland
I've been there, and they are not selling even though they can barely pay for the upkeep. It's sad.
@@peeupgaming9976 One day.
As a long time member of Community of Christ and as a former member of the LdS church, I can state that Community of Christ has no plans or intention to sell the Kirtland House of the Lord to anyone.
@@Donnie-Lee-Gringo Of course that's what they'll say, right up until the day that they finally do.
Is there any videos about EFYSa in Nauvoo soon?
So this house is a replica of the original, right? And the church actually owns the ground it’s on? I just didn’t know that we had any space in the Kirtland area. Cooperation is a good thing!
We have a historical village there. The Newell K Whitney store, a mill, homes, and more. Everything is free to the public.
