    I am making my own overall dress out of jeans the fabric I’m adding to the overalls is kind of like a tie-dye look so I’m hoping this would help blend the jeans to the pattern

    You need to soak the jeans in 3:1 parts hydrogen peroxide after bleaching to stop the bleaching process.

      @@coppercreekpatterns Never use vinegar to neutralize bleach! It will turn it into much more caustic and dangerous chemicals, which is very damaging to textiles, and if the pH gets low enough it turns into deadly chlorine gas. Use sodium metabisulfite if you can find (most economical choice) or alternatively you can use Sodium thiosulfate or 3% hydrogen peroxide.

    I dont understand. what do you mean bucket with 3 parts water and 1 bleach?

    • @michaelag.9359
      @michaelag.9359 Před měsícem +2

      It’s the water to bleach ratio. If you use 3 cups water, add 1 cup bleach. Or 3 quarts water, add one quart bleach.
