    TIP: Sell the storm crystals to the pilots that land at the space station instead of the trade terminal, that way you don't crash the market price for the storm crystals (or whatever you are trading)

    • @screaminseaman6121

      So for me pilot traders have the same economy as the station. Tested while chlorine, wasnt sold at the station but a pilot had some so I tried the economy crash tactic and it dropped to neg 80 but I couldnt buy all of it back at a reduced value so i reloaded. But this doesnt work for me

    Activated indium tip (since it's price cull) - refine it with pure ferrite to make chromatic metal.
    They both refine at a 1:8 ratio, so u get a LOT of chromatic metal.
    Activated indium sells for 165 units each.
    Chromatic metal sells for 88 units each.
    But because it's a 1:8 ratio and u get so much more, ur essential quadrupling your money.
    And yeah, sell it to NPC's, not via galactic trade. At a good outpost, with a bit of searching, u can often find an NPC who offers really good +percentage.

    Activated Indium used to be the best resource you can mine and sell, but gold is now more valuable. The best thing about mining gold is you can sell it twice. Mine your gold, go to a space station that sells gold (important) then sell your gold. You will get the credits and then be able to buy the same gold back at -80% price. You will then have to travel 1000 light years more or less to find a station that offer you normal price again. Then you can sell the same gold again. I make about 700 million a day with only two S class mines. Once you did the setup, you only need 5 minutes each day to collect and sell the gold.

    4 best ways for early money in game.
    4. ancient bones, find a planet with them an just run around dig them up,
    3 storm crystals , same as ancient bones but only found on extreme planets.
    2. get a economy scanner for your starter ship, jump to a black market system, make sure to have lots of sodium for shields for occasional single pirate attack an shoot all cargo vessels an an pods, throw out frigate fuel an other cheap stuff keep the good stuff, jump to another system an easily make over 100 million in 15 min with your starter ship. may be the best way early game.
    1. farming sentinal ships, this may be 1 or # 2 in my book, little harder to get started but most fun farming.,
    1st economy scanner, jump to a dessonant system, collect resources an look for the corrupted drills, fly around, see one land run up to it close it says what it has, if echo chart destroy it an run, dont have to fight . i like to get up to 5 an then use them to find camps. there you can get great upgrades, sentinal multi tool an the camp send you to a ship, the ships if scrapped easily 35 to 70 mil credits,
    these are the real best ways to get money early game or anytime really
    hope this helps

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but all of these methods got nerfed into the ground a few updates ago. My best way to make money now is just battle a load of sentinels and get one of the new sentinel ships and then just go sell it straight away and you’ll get 46 million per ship with plenty of ships per planet per system. Very easy money 😁

      Same. I made 33 million in less than an hour after starting the Expedition fresh this morning, just by using the Harmonic Camp at spawn and selling it off.

    I’ve made about 500k in the last week or so just farming sentinel ships, and a nice amount of nanites too. I’m looking for an s class so I kill a bunch of sentinels on the ground, get the ship and if it’s not a class, I fly up to the space station and scrap it for about 40-50 mil units, then fly back to the planet and rinse & repeat

    • @ericcolona2955
      @ericcolona2955 Před rokem +1

      you can get nanites at the pirate stations buying suspicious packets of tech and weapons, then selling them back after opening. Then when you have 100k nanites, you upgrade the sentinel ship to s class, and if it does not have the supercharged slot layout that you want, reset restore point, get your nanites back and scrap it. I have 1 sentinel ship with all four slots connected and tied to one weapon group (positron ejector). I take out sentinel dreadnaughts like they are nothing.

    People in these comments are talking about how Gold will get you better than double the passive income as Activated Indium, and that is currently the best you can do for a direct mine-to-sale pipeline. Elsewhere it's mentioned that if you refine Activated Indium, you will get 8x the Chromatic Metal, which effectively quadruples your money.
    I'll add that if you mine Gold, Silver, and Indium (not Activated Indium) and refine them together in a large refiner, you will get 30 Chromatic Metal, which will also nearly quadruple your money.
    But my favorite way to make money has to be sentinel ship scrapping. Just find a dissonant planet, set up a base at a harmonic camp, and use the Harmonic Interface to locate dissonance spikes. Each ship scraps for at least 16 million, most will be more than 20, and higher-tier ships can be worth more than 40.

  • @jamesdbobbert
    @jamesdbobbert Před rokem +9

    All these are ok but most are nerfed so not as good as used to be. One of the nerfs was the diminishing returns on the miners. Once you build more than 6 it's not worth it. The crashing of economy's is cool too! Also mech is best for storm crystals as you gather them without getting out. Don't forget to hit C to scan for more!

    • @ericcolona2955
      @ericcolona2955 Před rokem

      there are no diminishing returns on precious metals. Set up your gold mines, empty your storage tanks and sell at a different space station every day. I think the market crash on each station is gone after 10 days.

      @flash1259 Před rokem +3

      @@ericcolona2955 he's talking about the diminishing returns on the extractors. After you set up so many it's pretty much pointless to add more to the group. That's why I make multiple levels/floors with each level/floor having its own extractors and storage

    For the Chlorine Farming, I've taken to using the Large Refiner to make a loto f Oxygen fast. 1 Kelp Sac+1 Condense Carbon+1 Farmable Plant=10 Oxygen. Bot Oxygen Harvesteers and Atmosphere Harvesters glitch for me quite a bit, so this feel more reliable in a lot of ways.

      Since they've stopped selling a few essentials one of the first things I do now in a new save is build an oxygen base. Then things like uranium or sodium. Sometimes I'll craft living glass for units. It's a very simple crafting item and makes quite a bit of units. It also help that I like glass in my bases so I tend to farm quite a bit of frostwart.

  • @travissimpson372
    @travissimpson372 Před rokem +2

    ummm, activated indium 165 units each, gold 353 units each, I think the gold farm will get you more units, could be wrong though! ;-) Also, the diminishing returns is only if the mineral extractors are connected, if you separate them with enough space (multiple floor levels about 2-3 floors per extractor set should do) you eliminate the diminishing returns, and you can extend a single pipeline from the silo's to a metal floor panel to be able to place a silo on that panel to extract from all the silo's at the same time (saves a LOT of time by doing this) basically you extend the pipes to the metal floor panel and place one pipe at a floor tile corner within the floor panel and make sure the pipeline's don't cross or intersect. then you can place a silo on that tile and be able to collect from all the silos, and then delete the silo to return to separate extraction rates

      You're right, I wish I knew Activated Indium was nerfed, you make more from gold.
      5000 Activated Indium = ~ 800,000 Units
      5000 Gold = ~1,700,000 Units
      Gold is worth around 2x as much (As far as I can tell), plus Gold you can get earlier-game and isnt as painful as Activated Indium.

    When setting up automated farm.
    To get around the diminished returns thing..
    Have seperate systems, not all running through same grid.
    I only have about 3 extractors per set of silo's.
    So a stack of say 6 extractors, ill split into 2x3 or 3x2 ..run them into seperate storage and keep power seperate.
    Personally i like to run power from nearest EM hotspot...fkn hate how solar panels and generators tend to bug out on me alot.
    Easier to just run 24/7 power from hotspot, theres always one somewhere nearby.
    Those 6 refuners all together would notmally yield around 1350 per hour..
    Where seperated its more like 3x 1150 per hour.
    I have a stack of 11 extractors on 1 system doing (ill have to go look, for now egive rough estimate).
    But around 1600 per hour.
    The 2 towers of 3 besude it... produce around 1250 per hour each...with only 3.
    Of you have them all running through same system just wastes a bunch of resources.
