Freshman 6’2 215 lbs
Jackson State QB Shedeur Sanders showed every ounce of potential in his true Freshman season, which is saying a lot considering all the pressure that comes with being the son of one of the best football players of all time. Being the son of Prime Time isn’t easy, but Shedeur made the transition to college football look easier than everybody thought. The competition may not be the best, but there’s still plenty of talent. Shedeur is still very raw & has tools that he will continue to work on. He has the arm strength & mobility of the type of QBs that succeed in today’s NFL. While he may not be viewed as a top NFL prospect yet, you can see him make some special plays when he did his best Patrick Mahomes impersonation. Like his father Deion Sanders, Shedeur showed his quick feet evaded multiple defenders.

I've really been trying to find as many HBCU games as possible. For this one, I had some Jackson State games saved from the season. As of right now, I only have the FAMU game against the Tigers, but I will continue to look!

I like the way the ball comes out of his hand. Good throwing base/footwork as well, especially for such a young player. He also stays calm in the pocket, even with pressure in his face and people around his feet. Keeps his eyes downfield constantly. Good prospect for sure. I'll take his dad's dance moves though, haha

The best thing Sheduer has going is his God fearing HOF Father in his corner. He’s got the pedigree, right person in his ear and work ethic to thrive at the next level.

He was originally going to South Carolina with his brother then dad got the job at JSU and he switched.. then later on Shilo decided to transfer too

Seen him play in the Dallas area. He made some big time throws really good ideal size for a QB. A throw first guy. Will be Interesting to see his development.
Shedeur has the most fundamental techniques I've seen from a QB in a while. Nice wide drop step, wide throwing base, two hands firmly on the ball when climbing the pocket and so on. A lot of people will think because his last name is sanders it's merely God give talent but in reality it's just hard work and excellent coaching from his dad and others. I think he can be a star in the league one day.
I see what you're saying. Nice wide throwing base. Great ball security. He has a decent arm, and his confidence is building. I have to question his overall footwork though. He has Jameis Winston footwork. Poor footwork is exposed on quick timing routes. So if your footwork is inconsistent getting into throwing motion, your timing throws will be hit or miss. He also has happy feet. Good footwork diminishes happy feet. His release is amazingly quick, so much you can do with this kid with play action. Play action is all about footwork, hands, and body. There's a reason they don't fo much play action. If he can get back there and set, he can get it off. But if the wide receiver has to be someone based on his dropback rhythm, it wont happen. They run what appears to be a west-coast offense.

It's impressive he doesn't just use his legs all the time, cause he's clearly an amazing athlete. But that he keeps his eyes down the field while being pushed out the pocket. Very nice.

Depends on the class and I think the NFL will use the Sanders name to build extra hype around the draft. So I expect his stock to be way up when he comes out. It's a business at the end of the day.
