SGA didn’t lead the league in free throw attempts this season wtf is he talking about. He averaged the same as Luka but Luka shoots 10 3’s a game compared to Shai’s 3, so if we’re being honest, he should probably average MORE free throws because he gets everything inside the paint. Y’all overreacting to Jason Tatum’s numbers. If you are blowing teams out and he’s been your third best player? Maybe they are making sure he peaks in the ECF and/or Finals, and not burn him out, while making sure their other weapons stay sharp.

Disrespect to OKC. Shai “lives at the free throw line” but only had 3 more than Luka who’s injured and isn’t attacking the basket as much. Make it make sense. They’re just afraid to talk about what if the Thunder are just that good. They have a build like the dynastic spurs. A legit mvp level guy, a great coach, and a deep squad that knows and executes their roles
Like the Spurs recognition. But who is doing the Ginobli role? That guy was one of a kind.
My only concern with them is they are skinny. I think the wolves or the nuggets or the lakers would have beaten them because of their length. Okc can get to the next round but I don’t see it going further.
@@mikeottersole the roles aren’t exact in the sense that sga is comparable to Tim Duncan . Or anyone is specifically manu. More just the ideas behind having 1 mvp, guy (Duncan and shai) , a couple of all star level guys Parker and Ginoboli, JDub and Chet ) and then a host of role players who know their roles and execute them at a high level. And then an elite head coach like Diegnault and Pop. Obviously pop is a lot greater at this point but Diegnault just won coach of the year and I think he’s fantastic , just needs to win some hardware now.
@@kleatise52 that’s a lot of people’s concern but I actually think there’s a bit of an inverse people do not account for with that. The thunder spread the floor at an elite level and shoot the 3 ball better than anyone because of that style of body they have on the court. SGA camps the middle of the lane and will win a 1 on 1 most the time and when you send help there surrounded with elite shooters and it’s very hard to stop. On defense as skinny as they are they’re very athletic and long and Chet is legit as it comes from a shot blocking perspective

The Tatum hate is at an all-time high. Dude is taking it easy and just picking his spots because he's gotten injured in the last two or three playoff runs that they've had but nobody will acknowledge that.

Thank you! I’m not a Thunder fan, but teams atop the standings are there for a reason. They’re better! The Wolves were right there too. The Lakers and Suns were not, so I don’t know why anyone picked them to make deep playoff runs. The Mavs were in the middle - so I don’t know why so many picked them over the Thunder either besides Luka and Kyrie name recognition.

This is a misleading statement. If it wasn’t for something like 9 fouls being called I. The second quarter for OKC it would’ve been about a tied game at half give or take. Then OKC couldn’t miss from three leading them to a lead. The percentage they were shooting at when they went on that streak isn’t sustainable. Not to say OKC can’t win this series in 5 or 6 but if you think game 1 is how the series will go and that OKC is that much better than the Mavs on average then you’re delusional.
