A jewel in Ontario's boating crown, an engineering marvel and a highlight of every Looper's trip: the Peterborough Lift Lock.
Still operating as it was designed more than a century ago, virtually all of the main structure and operating functions remain original.
We were given an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of this unique lock by the Manager of Canal Operations, Chad Buchner.
