Lost dad last month...one of the memories I picked up at house was Rapala filet knives we used to clean thousands of fish together we caught when younger. Good memories.

Beautiful I used to walk down to the creek by my house when I was a kid best memories of my life fishing watching the kingfishers muskrat and fish jumping I hope that's were I go when I die .

About the worms. My grandad used to have some scrub land (abandoned rail bed / farm parcel he bought for next to nothing from his employer - C&NW) where he kept 3 derelict horses. They had a lean-to for shelter and he would toss the straw bedding into a low pile nearby. We would take a Prince Albert tobacco can and a pitchfork to the pile and barely had to dig at all to turn over a mess of crawlers the length of a mans hand. We would watch the cubs day game (sound was always off) and then he would light his pipe and we headed out to visit a tributary of the Rock River near Dixon IL for late night channel cat action. They would have a feeding frenzy like clockwork around 10PM. Once I nearly died when he stripped down to his skivvies to swim across and retrieve his bobber from a bad cast! Really good times...
Man that brings back memories of my uncle. He got sick and moved back to my home state of Georgia from Maryland where he had leaved for decades. He started a garden and he grew potatoes. When he harvested the potatoes he buried them in straw and when he would dig them up night crawlers would be everywhere. I didn't fish much back then but he did. @@roselsimpson858 Most horse stables will give away spent bedding for the asking cause they have it building up by the dumpster load. If you have a buddy with a country parcel and can find an out of the way corner you will have the liveliest crawlers around for next to nothing and no worries about indoor worm farms drying out. That's what momma used to say, I'll keep that in mind! I use the heck out of Temu stuff it hasn't failed me yet. Like I said in my other response the T-shirts can sometime run a little small but everything else is pretty good.

Yep I use Temu fishing gear and I wear the clothes as well. I have 2 pair of there cargo pants you will see me fishing in from time to time, quality stuff. I keep the channel honest, I don't try to create content I just film myself doing things I normally do.

I’ve done worm beds before.I used a mixture of natural bedding, top soil , potting soil , oak leaves work great. Blend in any degradable material like lettuce, egg shells, coffee grounds. I used an inner stainless steel tub from an old washing machine, yes drains with the holes . I would feed them a quarter cup of cornmeal every other day or at least weakly. To get new worms for your bedding, use soapy dawn dishwasher water .,pour on old flower beds or leafy piles around trees & watch them worms rise to the top surface. No digging required. Just my suggestions, but works for me . Good fishing 🎣 family!

I could sit and fish and yack with you all day and even if they weren't biting it would be just fine. Growing up as a boy in Miami, one day a buddy and I caught a few bass - we didn't have much back then. His dad owned a little neighborhood bar and grill and fried em up with some chicken gizzards - it was pure heaven. Now I travel to many countries fishing but there are days when you say "What was I thinking?"... there's a lot to be said for sleeping in your own bed. Best of luck with those sponsors. Subscribed.

If you really want to tear up the blue gill red ear and warmouth and crappie you need to go the tourist station on the Louisiana side. Ive been fishing there for 38 years. Last year every time I went I would catch around 150 to 200 like in 5 hours. I'd be happy to show you

Yes can't forget the license lol. I've been seriously fishing for about 3 years and I have only seen a game warden twice and neither time have they said a word to me. I had my day yesterday went got a new pole took my kids to the river to catch trout and I know I got stuck 20 times but was walking the river so I never lost anything
If we fish, we will have those kinds of days. We find peace and solitude and have time to sort a few things out in our minds. When we catch ideal days when you can't keep a fish off the line. Just that creates an exciting trip. " It don't get no better."
Totally agree, those days that you catch fish back to back are exciting but the day you don't are inviting. When the fish aren't biting I clear my head, organize my thoughts, figure out how I want to approach anything that needs my attention at home. Like I always say fishing is my therapy! Thought I would tell you I have from temu reels and rods. They are good and got 2 rod holders to. Being quite a bit will help not being rude about it fishing for perch you will catch more. At least I think so. Perch are delicious cooked hole love itbut good stuff. I play the guitar but I don't take it

Fishing is difficult right now in Louisiana, I was filming for 2 hours and then not posting. When I talked to some of the audience they agreed I should post anyway. So I keep it real. When brims pee . It means they are bedded up or fanning staging to bed up. Which you will know if they are on a bedd . U will smell the spawning bedd. Also try using porcupine quill vs cork

Try the quill, and slide that BB weight about 7 to 9 inch above the hook , once you cast about time that quill stand up you want the worm or cricket to be the last thing fall . Brim , white perch aka crappie, bass , cat fish can't stand it. They will knock the dust off your bait

Yes in the past I have seen lots of boaters come back with a good catch. Here lately though everyone has been struggling. Bro n law said he went yesterday and did pretty good so maybe things are picking up.

I totally feel you on that, the world is much much too noisy . Fishing is it's own therapy for each individual. When I'm alone and not filming I don't talk I just enjoy mother nature. When I'm with bro n law or a group we clown around we compete and have a good time. That's what fishing is to us at that moment.

We kayaked from that spot before. How we didn’t hurt ourselves, I don’t know lol. We launched from the boat launch after that!
I've seen a few people launch from there but yes the boat launch is much safer. That spot is very slippery!

New to your channel as of today and you are 100% correct. Sometimes you catch fish but there are days you won't catch anything or you catch nothing but small fish. You have to keep it real. I watch Richard Gene, One Rod, One Real, Ace Video's, High Aventures, Hook City and a few others. It's always good to get a new view on things and I like what you said, post the up's and downs of fishing.

If you really want to tear up the blue gill red ear and warmouth and crappie you need to go the tourist station on the Louisiana side. Ive been fishing there for 38 years. Last year every time I went I would catch around 150 to 200 like in 5 hours. I'd be happy to show you

Yes can't forget the license lol. I've been seriously fishing for about 3 years and I have only seen a game warden twice and neither time have they said a word to me. I have my license screen shot on my phone and when I go to other states I call the wife she purchases a 3 day license and texts it to me. That is a monster blue gill I've caught a lot of big crappie gills sunfish that thing you caught made them look like minnows

I had my day yesterday went got a new pole took my kids to the river to catch trout and I know I got stuck 20 times but was walking the river so I never lost anything
Spending the day with the kids sounds like an awesome day. Creating memories and catching fish they will never forget it.
If we fish, we will have those kinds of days. We find peace and solitude and have time to sort a few things out in our minds. When we catch ideal days when you can't keep a fish off the line. Just that creates an exciting trip. " It don't get no better."
Totally agree, those days that you catch fish back to back are exciting but the day you don't are inviting. When the fish aren't biting I clear my head, organize my thoughts, figure out how I want to approach anything that needs my attention at home. Like I always say fishing is my therapy! Thought I would tell you I have from temu reels and rods. They are good and got 2 rod holders to. Being quite a bit will help not being rude about it fishing for perch you will catch more. At least I think so. Perch are delicious cooked hole love itbut good stuff. I play the guitar but I don't take it

Fishing is difficult right now in Louisiana, I was filming for 2 hours and then not posting. When I talked to some of the audience they agreed I should post anyway. So I keep it real. When brims pee . It means they are bedded up or fanning staging to bed up. Which you will know if they are on a bedd . U will smell the spawning bedd. Also try using porcupine quill vs cork

@@roselsimpson858 I understand my brother. Baby steps porcupine quill floats cut down on the splashing. A lot of places you are fishing Rosie, the cork float scatters the fish from the splash.. porcupine quill it's just like a leaf hitting the water.

Try the quill, and slide that BB weight about 7 to 9 inch above the hook , once you cast about time that quill stand up you want the worm or cricket to be the last thing fall . Brim , white perch aka crappie, bass , cat fish can't stand it. They will knock the dust off your bait

I totally feel you on that, the world is much much too noisy . Fishing is it's own therapy for each individual. When I'm alone and not filming I don't talk I just enjoy mother nature. When I'm with bro n law or a group we clown around we compete and have a good time. That's what fishing is to us at that moment.

quit using a float your big pan fish are hanging close to the bottom.. I could use only one rod when fishing for bass, perch, blue gill and crappie.
There is so much debris in the water around here due to the hurricanes and tornadoes but I will give it a try next time I'm out.

Yes those young gentlemen that asked me to share my fishing on CZcams was the start of something special and gives me hope that the next generation might not be doomed.
