- How to Import your model into Resonite in less than 60 seconds!
How exciting!!! A new VR social game called Resonite just released for all of us to try out! It's very easy to get started, don't mind all the extra features and options available, I know they look scary but it's not hard to learn!
I wanted to prove how quick and simple the process is by making this video showing you how! Enjoy!

Very useful tutorial, sounds like getting set up should be a snap!
Yeah!
I have a problem that when I import my avatar, the arms for some reason are higher than they should be, while in unity and vrchat the model works just fine
There might be some rotation values it’s detecting from blender or somewhere! You may need to “apply all transforms” to fix that
oh hey i know you. funny i found you making a tutorial for what i need
Yay!
Could you explain this like as if your talking to a person that is just learning how to do stuff on computers
Do you have a model file already? Like an FBX from VRChat or something similar
No it's from telegram because someone made me one
yes but what is the file format
@@o6uIPI fbx
Woah!
Yeah!
So many questions about this tutorial, but my biggest one is: how do you name the bone hierarchy? Do you name it like in VR Chat, or is it something completely different?
That is a good question! I don’t remember exactly how they detect it but it does work similar to vrchat so I would say if you named them with vrchat conventions it will work fine
Didn't work. No textures. :-(
so the texture thing is different, that depends on how they were assigned in blender
you may need to change what style of texture they are so that it detects them properly, but in the meantime did the rest of the steps work? you can at least verify that your rigging imports properly and you can use it once the textures are fixed
you can also assign the textures manually in game if you can't get the import to work but that takes a few extra steps
is there anyway to "cull" the head out of my viewpoint like vrc does? i got a long snout on my avi and i see it no matter what
Yeah that’s how the game is set up for more of a realistic sense of being your character
I’m pretty sure there is a culling setting but I haven’t tried to find it since my nose isn’t long enough to block my vision in a bad way
okay so I click and drag it in and it imports, but none of the mesh textures are there, its just all gray. How do I import it with textures?
Oh! If it’s from the unity package they most likely assigned the textures in unity. I built mine in blender so that’s why the textures were assigned already
You can either assign them in blender then re-export it as an FBX or upload the textures in game and assign them there using the “dev tool” in your inventory
@o6uIPI I did mine in blender too. I don't think I have them assigned properly. Still new to the whole program. I'll give that a look see. Thank you ❤️
@@tonicfoxgaming1899 check out my vrchat avatar tutorial in that case! There’s a section that goes over assigning the textures
idk where the fvx files are the only files i have for my avi is the png ones. so what am i missing or doing wrong? my friend made me the avitar and sent me the files after he was done
It’s FBX so do you have one of those? What file types did they give you
@@o6uIPI the unity file and the png files for the textures. ive managed to figure out how to open it in unity tho idk how to make the avi appear. so ive made a little progress at least
@@DizzyCooperSarrosong oh! Go to my vrchat tutorial and the part one video shows you how to pull the fbx out of it
What the heck is a "virsuit"?
I’M GLAD YOU ASKED
virtual fursuit xd
Bruh I have never heard of the term virsuit before and I wish I never did
Why not just call it... you know, "your character" or something? It isn't really a suit or anything, it is literally just your character without any caveats, like how you have to change a character's anatomy to make it into a real life fursuit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I understand that this tutorial is obsurdly simplifed due to it literally being less than a minute long, but maybe it would of been a good idea to specifically mention to press the alignment buttons in the Avatar Creator to make the setup both less finicky, and more symmetrically accurate?
If you’re here watching my video then you get to suffer through what I get to call it
and I didn’t feel like I needed to include a “press alignment button” step specifically because those buttons are right there and available for you to press before finishing the tool
@@o6uIPI yeah that's fair
I want to make a full length livestream style one eventually that goes over all the extra features but for this one I wanted to make it a “look how few steps there are” for all the people that don’t know anything about it
@@o6uIPI aah that makes a lot of sense
seems this st upid vr world is just mainly about furries. PASS sorry.
