After 4-5 knee surgeries, a year without competitive play and all that at 41 years of age, Federer managed to played amazing!
Nice words by Jack Sock to Federer at the end. Sock is such a good guy. Also the look of disappointment on Rafa's face after losing. I think he really wanted to win it for Roger. Gotta love Rafa.
What did he say?
@@gayatrin9983 he said something along the lines of “Best of luck, inaudible, I appreciate you”.
It was a great match. Sock and Tiafoe did a great job winning and Nadal Federer were surprisingly competitive. Winning or not really did not make a difference. Most importantly, it was competetive. I will miss you Roger. What you have given and done for the sport is unparalleled. Love you.
Oh my, reading your comment brought me watery eyes . It’s actually sadness I feel now that Roger Federer as finally hung his Competitive racket up!
I will miss his beautiful and smooth backhand. Haven't watched tennis much for the past 2 years since fed injuries.
Do.nt forget nadal i am a big rf fan but Nadal is Just as big as roger in his attitude on and of the court. . He is adoratie. Or awesome howeveryou Will call it. He loves roger and it hurts like hell for Rafael. He do.nt care that the whole world see him crying. . That.s really brave. From nog on i am his biggest fan on the Court he earns this . After being loyal to roger.
You could see Roger struggling and being so careful about his knee in here, he was clearly not able to fully recover for a last GS. Anyway, thanks for the effort, the memories and this last match for the ages. Great of Greats, your legacy is beyond limits. Enjoy your retirement King, although i’m sure we’ll see you playing some more events as well ❤ time to carry that legacy with ourselves 🫡
Shocking they do not have Federer's volley in champ tie-break, by far his best shot of match.
A lot of incredible points did not make the cut for whatever reason.
they need to upload the whole match imo
Rafa and roger together in 1 court, umpired by lahyani, for the last time. Nostalgic
With a coin toss by Edberg
"In an era of tennis kings , it's founding father says farewell"
The elegance , class and legacy of *Federer* is unmatched💯🔥 . He has defined this sport exceptionally well👍
Truly a GOAT🐐🙌
Elegance ... don't think so, Edberg was even more elegant when playing ...
@@unsertrefflicher4678 no way Stevie Wonder. No one could match his foot work and ballcontrole . You probably saw not much matches of roger to say that. Go wash your mouth
@@unsertrefflicher4678 As a huge Edberg fan, I say Edberg was definitely more elegant at the net, but overall for all court play on all surfaces Federer has the edge. Loved Edberg for his humility, gentle smile, never losing his cool and spectacular net play.
The most beautiful era as come to an end 😢 . Beautiful magnificent magical Roger and Rafa. Thank you ❤️
Both Federer and Nadal are exceptional human beings, not only exceptional tennis players. Their passion and professionalism is something extraordinary. They not only mastered tennis, they redefined what was possible. Great sportsmen, great rivalries yet great friends. They inspired, whether you were a tennis player or not. They taught those who watched them, as much about life as tennis. Thank you to you both. Mr Federer, i will so miss your grace, humility and skill on the professional circuit. One day, sadly, i will have to miss Mr Nadal also. You are both masters of the game. May we all be grateful for all that you gave us.
Seconded .... great comment!
They stopped making men like this about 35 years ago.
@@THEgenART tsitsipas, berrettini, Mr beast ?

@@youtubeuserandchef471 they’re not anywhere near Roger/Rafa level. I only watch grand slams but that still means I watch much more tennis than the average person, so I’m aware of most of those names you listed but they’re not prominent enough for me to know about their personal lives to make a judgment but it doesn’t matter because none of them are anywhere near as successful as the people we have been talking about in this conversation (Novak IS on the skill level, but is NOT on the personal level). If Tsisipas and Berittini (or whatever) are as good of people as Roger and Rafa, I could like their entire package better than Novak’s entire package, but only Roger and Rafa are both potential “goats” AS WELL AS men whose character and class never take a moment off.
It was a beautiful and poetic final for Federer - sharing the court with his bestie and brother Rafa. This will be remembered forever.
And Federer and Nadal truly embody the ethical sportsmanship, as do a few other gentlemen on the tour. This will always be cherished.
On that note I found Tiafoes shots directed at body very unsportsman-like and left a bad taste to everyone. Maybe on some ATP tours yes, but here, not during this match which was more of a celebration of a legend. Don't play dirty here. Goes to show, not everyone carries the gentlemans allure.
100% agreed. Moved by the emotion and class of Federer and Nadal. Disgusted by the classless of Tiafoe.
Just wanted to say that tennis will never be the same without Roger. I'm deeply sad to see his era come to and end, but also deeply grateful for the tennis we were able to witness. Wish I could have seen you play live in my lifetime...that's my only regret. Cheers to you Roger, hopefully we will hear from you real soon. 👏
Bjorn Borg, Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal ... the tennis dynasty, an era spanning so many decades. What more can be said! Fare thee well, Roger. You are the greatest ambassador of the game, and forever will be. Thank you for all you have given us.
Beautifully put
Roger and Rafa. Two legends
The golden generation of tennis thanks to these two greats. Respect and appreciation at the highest and most intelligent level, without an inch of ego.
wtf Laver Cup ist so schlecht geworden, das ist viel besser czcams.com/video/BtB4FebTSnU/video.html
legends like Federer never die
Forget about the match, what summed up Federer was what he pulled off at 0:29 the precision, the accuracy to do that... he has done things that just leave us in awe
Was accidental but ok
Can't get better than this. Two of the greatest players of tennis being on the same team.
so fitting that these finish together. fierce rivals but so much love. you can be nice guys and dominate. that's what sets these two apart.
So great to see Federer playing with Nadal one last time, what a way to complete an incredible career!
What has always impressed me the most with Roger is his serve. I've always considered him the best server of all time. His serve has the majestic and relentless precision of a watchmaking mechanism. After more than a year without having played professionally, he proved it once again in this last match.
Roger Federer. What a legend. I remember as a 10 year old standing 2 hours watching you practice and positioning myself to get your autograph only to have a 40 year old lady push me to ground once you approached us afterwards. The only athlete I can think of that had that kind of impact and effect on people lol. You would make 50 year old men cry after they got your autograph or picture with you. Once in a lifetime type impact on a sport.
Stop being overly dramatic get a grip I love tennis but at the end of the day he’s just hitting a ball. Are you still 10 years old?

It was an amazing match.
Cant belive it is over for Roger what a carrer.
Well, we just watched another chapter of history and the end of an era. I am just glad that I live in the right time to witness such greatness.
Will really miss you roger ❤️ no matter how good the game and younggen gets we'll never be able see another roger federer.
Thank you for the memories, Roger. My favorite athlete of all time.
yesssss. love to see Tiafoe playing with Sock. That shot by Sock at 3 all in the match tie brake was absurd.
that pickup by Sock in the tiebreaker was crazy. great match honestly
What a great tournament, the best. The frienship they have and they are building is the most important. Seeing Borg and McEnroe is the equal to see Nadal a Federer.
Man the love I have for these two humans one of the best athletes that's ever lived the way nadal looked at Federer when the game was done it put a very sad feeling in my heart and throath he knows all about the battle one love to these great tennis players
We fell in love with tennis thanks to the legendary creative hero Roger .We will miss him for every next match .Good luck Roger
You can clearly see that Roger was careful about his knee.
As I watched this match…I couldn’t help but to think of the 2017 Australian Open final. That match will forever be one of the best (if not the best) finals of all time. Tennis will never be the same without without this man 😢😢
Grazie Roger ❤️❤️❤️
Legend 😢
Maravillosos Feder Nadal ❤️❤️
We need the full length match to be able to look back on this moment
Heck of a game.
*Farewell Legend you will forever be remembered by History*
This was one if the most memorable matches of 2022
Would've preferred he played his last match at Wimbledon, but can't deny it is special to finish your career alongside your greatest rival and friend surrounded by the best of the past, present and future of tennis
"Danke" thanks for the upload. I would have liked it a little longer like an extended version but awesome guys all of them.
A True Legend Congrats And What A Career Now On To What Lies Ahead In This Sport You Are Loved And Will Be Missed By All Of Us and Abroad I Am Sure.🙌👍👏🤝
Roger, Rafa and Jim Courrier interview at the end, will miss these guys forever, thanks Roger, Rafa and Jim💗😎🙏💥
We love you Roger ❤️🥺
Incredible two Legends coming from injury’s and playing like they just getting ready. Truly remarkable. I’ve gone from Borg to Sampras then Federer. I was wondering who can I support now? Carlos Alcaraz. It will be very interesting to hear Federer Commentate at the SW19 Tournament
Amazing match!! 🔥
Its sad his body can't hold on anymore . Tenniswise he still has a good couple of slams in him ! Farewell Roger and thank you for the memories and inspiration !
Oh yea. It’s all about his knee I believe. His head and hands are still there 100%
haha when the ball of Roger went through the net!!! pretty awesome moment to remember!
Not a bad way to end it. Sock is almost uncrowned best doubles player in the world.
Thank you Roger, for everything.
Two Legends and Federer's farewell. Could have done a little better than 3 minutes of highlights.
I cried.
I would love to see Rafa and Fed do a few doubles tournaments after they've retired from singles and taken a rest.
That first volley by roger always gives me chills…
LOOL I love how the crowds went NUTS at the slowmo replay @0:30 🤣😂🤣😂
Simply awesome and a very rare Fedal, the last one ☝️. Hopeful to see more Fedal in a different and inspiring scenarios. Kudos to both Roger and Rafa’s rivalry, outmost beauty of matches, sportmanship, mateship and all it brings. 🥳🥳🥳😁😁😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
utmost
Best doubles game ever.
It is all about that respect
What a legend Federer is, he will be missed in this sport! 😢❤🐐
Obviously Roger was moving gingerly and you could see he was being so careful and wasn’t serving fully or moving fully but nevertheless a nice goodbye and nice way to go out.
Lol 3min highlights?? Glad I watched this live
That night we made history
Even in his final match, not playing in over a year ..... pulls out 1 last maestro magic shot ....... god im gonna miss him
Tiafoe will cry for mercy today, cause king Novak will take revenge like no other!!!
Hope so!
I actually cried
Great ...
I like how everything broadcasting this match live was so limited in the US, the only thing we get is this lame 3 minute video of the two greats playing with each other.
Unfortunately, tennis hasn't been big here since the 90's.
It was on my local free station for me but the. It got moved to tennis channel due to a stupid baseball game, I had tennis channel so it’s ok.
Roger the best tecnic in the world of tennis, goodbye for this legend
That was just beautiful. And the legends more than held their own even with Roger's knee on the fritz. Sorry.
Competitors always go for the win , no letting go the match to let them have the win , that’s the beauty
❤❤❤❤🎾 L idole, il est incroyable doué bref, il a tout
Thanks Sock and Tiafoe for being competitive, its was a great match
Competitive, more like ruthless with Tiafoe’s body shots to both Roger and Rafa. OUCH!!!
In a such farewell match, only an asshole can shoot two legends in the body. Shame on you FT.
Not the body shots though. Not a classy touch during a match which is actually a celebration of a legend. Tiafoe should have played it honest.
The finality of it all is so heavy. 😭
dreams are longer than reality ☝️❣️
This video will surely get a million views
Tiene un hueso duro rafa para proximos torneos y es tiafone
That second shot from roger, he sniped that hole.
End of an Era
I hate my job. I used to like it but now it made me miss this epic match on live :(
It's a little disappointing that Federer didn't win, but it's great to see someone with the ability to beat the very strong Nadal-Federer pairing.
They barely practised. And Roger was careful about his knee. Yea, let's not please.
please upload thw full match
Les 2 meilleures de leurs générations oublions pas Djokovic respect ❤️
Federer - Nadal - Djokovic sa aurra été un vrai plaisir respect 🌍❤️
Sock so amazing
SMH. How the HECK did Roger make this shot? Unbelievable. 0:20
The G.O.A.T.
2 real goat!
I know they lost but I don't care, Federer hit a winner that went through the net. What are the odds of that? A true Roger moment to savour.
PLAYING TOGETHER?? alright, I can die happy now :,)
Match point on his own serve in his final match. This one hurts. 😔
Federer immenso 💪
Tiafoe with 2 body shots was over kill. Annoying end to spoil the party
To be fair they were definitely doing less body shots than usual, it's a very common shot in doubles when u have an opponent blocking both sides 2 metres from you. So I'm not mad at them. But yeah it was just kinda deflating, tough way for it to end...
GOAT 👍✋😢
It was not about winning. It was about enjoying the court last time with ur biggest rival and friend
Don't think of this as a sad ending, look at how happy Federer was on the court. He was genuinely having a blast and enjoying the last moments of his career which was def helped by Rafa being there. I remember them cracking jokes and goofing around the whole match, cause they knew this was the last time they could have fun playing with each other together on court.
I really think it’s ironic that the shot at :30 , sums up his career , unbelievable, this man , if your a fan of tennis , there’s no words , he’s an enigma , that shot at : 30 was very proper for his last game , i started playing tennis because of roger as an adult , it’s like someone died when he retired , such a strange thing , thank roger for turning me on to the game of tennis 🎾
And your gonna tell me there isn’t a higher power , that kind of shot may or may not have ever been hit in a match of tennis , cmon off the post in between the net , I personally think in my beliefs that was a higher power saying thanks
