The origins of Simplex Electric Company Ltd go back to about 1898 via its associate company - Credenda Conduits Ltd which was founded in about 1898.
In 1932 TI reorganised its multiple operations through acquisitions into Divisions. The result was that the name of Simplex Electric Co Ltd was formed to be responsible for the manufacture of industrial electrical equipment mainly switchgear, conduit & lighting fittings branded Simplex and makers of domestic appliances branded Creda.
