Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky vowed to retaliate after a Russian missile strike killed at least 41 people and injured about 161. The attack also damaged a children's hospital in Kyiv. The attacks were launched on five towns and cities in southern and eastern Ukraine. A day of mourning was observed after the rare daytime attack by Russian forces. Zelensky called on Kyiv's allies to provide a firm response to Monday's attack, stating that it is important to take decisive action that leaves no security deficit.
