Վեցամյա դադարից հետո կանադահայ ռեժիսոր Ատոմ Էգոյանը Հայաստան է վերադարձել իր վերջին՝ «Յոթ քող» ֆիլմով, որի ցուցադրությունը հաջորդեց «Ոսկե Ծիրան» կինոփառատոնի բացման արարողությանը։ Ռեժիսորը ասում է, որ ֆիլմի գաղափարն առաջացել է տարիներ առաջ բեմադրած «Սալոմե» օպերայի վերականգնման ժամանակ։
Ատոմ Էգոյանի հետ «Հետքը» զրուցել է կինոյի, սփյուռքի, Արցախի, պատերազմի, Հայաստանին սպառնացող մարտահրավերների, ինչպես նաև կինոյի ոլորտում դրական զարգացումների մասին։
After a six-year hiatus, Canadian-Armenian director Atom Egoyan returned to Armenia with his latest film "Seven Veils", the screening of which followed the opening ceremony of the Golden Apricot International Film Festival. The filmmaker says that the idea of the film arose while remounting the opera "Salome" which he had staged years ago.
"Hetq" spoke with Atom Egoyan about cinema, diaspora, Artsakh, war, the challenges facing Armenia, as well as the positive developments in the field of cinema.

Thumbs down to Atom Egoyan and his comment about democracy and that 'people have voted.' Has he not seen the recent violent police attacks on unarmed protesters? Does he not know that there are 20+ political prisoners in Armenia? Are these democratic principles? No, of course not. Very disappointing.
