People like to hate on The Dark World but it has one of the best MCU Themes out there.
I'm fond of Earth to Asgard from the first Thor and I'll admit that when it appeared in Ragnarok, I genuinely shed tears at hearing it again
Only the theme don't make the film nice

It's true, but they were very bad Ragnarok and The Dark World, especially Ragnarok, as you say it is supposed to be his moment as a king, but he behaves like a clown the whole movie xD, the decent unique is Thor 1, and it is not that Be the best film of the MCU, at the last .... TEAM CAPTAIN AMERICA😨👈
I feel like the melodies from the first Thor soundtrack better depicts him as a prince, whereas The Dark World melodies better depicts him as a noble warrior
indeed. Thor was a haughty arrogant prince in part 1, became a noble humble warrior in part 2
@@gaddamitmynamestaken then part 3, A "Man/God" beginning to lose everything becomes powered up, More of a comedic warrior king. Then infinity way, still the warrior king, that lost almost everything, drifting to a vengeful loving character, even more OP, His character build up to one of its peak, and in endgame, its sorta perfect to me, character development through regression, a sad slob God that completely lost and failed eating away his depression, then after the events unfold, he learns of being worthy still, and slowly powers up, even though it should be more , but you can't just become the fit God again, and peak combat performance, still fat, its 5 years of slobbishness, so, GOTG3 hopefully shows him getting back to his peak, and prolly reaching it

@@trashbrock2320 He wasn't though. Remember that Thor Ragnarok, Infinity War were like a week for Thor. He saw his father die, found out he had an evil sister, found himself stranded on another planet as a gladiator forced to fight, lost an eye to his evil sister, saw his homeworld get destroyed, saw many of his people get slaughtered by Thanos and his goons, saw Loki and Heimdall get killed, saw Hulk get his ass beat, let Thanos snap away half of all life, and let Thanos escape. All this happened within about a week for Thor, of course he is going to be all depressed. And this isn't even including earlier things like his mother getting killed.

i know the dark world is typically regarded as the weakest of the three films, but my GOD is it visually stunning. the soundtrack is gorgeous too. take a minute to just look at the movie. it's beautiful.

Thor the Dark World May have not been the best movie, but it has one of the GREATEST soundtracks.

It's the theme of Frigga's funeral and Loki's death (which finally didn't really happen).
I would agree but to me its a bit inappropiate for that scene. This is a bit to sad and in endgame, its more of a peaceful thing

I don't know why people hate this movie. I love this movie than first one. No such major universal event happened in Thor but The Dark World showed the 'convergence' which had a major impact on World and gave a perfect involvement of the Reality Stone and it's powers. The story resonated with sacrifice, nobleness, and bravery.
This is my favourite Thor Movie. Ragnarok was a bad movie but this one was Amazing

Dunno man, even tho I love Thor trilogy, Dark World is definitelly one of the weakest (if not the weakest) MCU movie. If you consider how big and serious thread Malekith is in the comics wasting him like this was just a joke (try War of The Realms if you want to see great Malekith comics). The movie barely has any good scenes and the soundtrack is only thing that is memorable for me. So I gotta disagree, it is not underrated, but really one of the least quality ones
@@daredonny22 War of the realms came out in 2019 which is 6 years after this movie. Before Thor 2 Malekith had very little presence in the comics and was some side villian that pretty much nobody cared about. Can't blame the movie for not adapting Malekith properly if he wasn't a good villian when the movie came out. But I guess the movie is at fault for choosing him as the main villian instead of the better established ones like Mangog or Enchantress

This film, while people really like to hate on it, has got one of the best soundtracks in the entire MCU. Into Eternity is one of my favourite MCU tracks.

I think Marvel characters only get three movies to avoid overuse (Iron Man). However, as Thor is now super overpowered, they would have trouble finding a convincing villain for him. +Niki Allen Loki has resurrected himself twice already. We might have to riot.

Thor is a possible hero to have more movies. There are nine worlds, in the norse mythology Thor has a lot of adventures, why not in MCU too.
This is 100% lowkey one of the 3 or 4 best themes in all of the MCU and one of the better non Zimmer/Horner/Williams based title themes in a long time.

This track feels just like Thor that we all know and loved. Gotta rewatch it from Phase 1.

Had this pop in my head today and couldn't remember where it came from, then thought of the funeral scene. Odin and Thors music fit them both perfectly. This music was the best theme from the MCU. Doctor Strange a close second imo.

Well it's not bad it's more like it starts off as kind of calming and then it becomes kind of emotional as a door on a rock it's like really epic and blue gets you the movie like rock and roll which is why people prefer that over this one

Say what you want about the first 2 films, but the three of them together brought Odinson full circle ⭕️ with beauty along with infinity war/ endgame.
Thor is the god we needed, and deserved.

Brian Tyler also composed the music for the 2003 sci fi channel miniseries "Children of Dune", if you listen to the two of htem in quick succession, you can hear he "James Horner'ed" it a bit :-)

THOR: The Dark World is still my favorite Thor movie to this day, honestly. Vastly underrated and overlooked. Better than THOR: Ragnarok? To me, yes. It was the Thor movie that felt the MOST like a Thor movie (along with THOR (2011)). THOR: Ragnarok was too comical, gimmicky and in some aspects, cringe. I felt the only good parts, were the beginning in Surtur's lair and the scenes with Hela, on Asgard. It felt like a mix between TRON and Gladiator. Both good movies in their own, individual right. Just not combined for a Thor movie.. And honestly, after Ragnarok and Love & Thunder, I never wanna see Taika Waititi anywhere near another Thor movie, again.
