- His Holiness the Dalai Lama joins Father Laurence Freeman, Founding Teacher of the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM), in a dialogue on Unified Consciousness: One Mind, One Heart followed by a question and answer session as part of the 30th founding anniversary of the WCCM online from his residence in Dharamsala, HP, India on December 1, 2021.
I have read that, the sharing basic needs, is a marker of community. The Dalai Lama has said that, sharing basic needs, relieves suffering. In these cases, it becomes apparent that, sharing basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, transportation, information, and community), is the ethical thing to do. When the Dalai Lama speaks of, "warm heartedness, concern, and compassion", I believe, awareness of, and, sharing basic needs is what he's asking us to do. When the Dalai Lama says, "we are the same"; I believe, he is saying, our basic needs are the same, and with sharing basic needs, we can alleviate suffering. When it comes to suffering, we create, ourselves, a thriving community can teach and support each other in making better choices (the 4 Noble Truths), and we can learn to avoid creating unnecessary suffering.💗🙌🙏🙌💗 I find the Dalai Lama's teachings so comforting💗

43:48 As soon as the six sense doors get in touch with their respective objects, the process begins: perception, judgment (good or bad), attachment and reaction, that's where the misery of suffering begins. If we learn to control our reaction knowing that everything is arising and passing away, impermanent, by just observing our sensations and stop reacting, that's the first step towards enlightenment on the long path of dhamma 🙏 that is the practise of vipassana 🙏

Imagine you have one body. It consists of different parts - limbs, organs. This body is controlled by one mind, your mind, therefore it acts as a whole organism. If its arm hurts, you use other arm to help it, if the stomach feels hunger, all parts of the body work together under your command to find food.
Now imagine you have two bodies, two bodies are controlled fully by your single mind. You can feel its both pain, hunger, pleasant senses. They work together as a whole, if one body is hurt, you use the other body to help it, if one body is tired to carry a weight, you use the other one to carry it until it's tired, and so on.
Now imagine you have five bodies. You feel what feels each of them, you use different bodies for different tasks in order to maintain each body, you share food and work between them, if one body is sic, you use other bodies to care about it. If you had to sacrifice one body to save other four, you would do it without hesitation. Then, for some reason, one if the bodies becomes self-aware, it gains it's own consciousness and starts to act independently. But it remembers how efficient and harmonic it was to work together with other four bodies as one organism, and it asks you to maintain that connection, only now you have to communicate with this body using speech, because now you can't feel what it feels. All five bodies start to act as a whole again, as the most efficient and acceptable way of coexistence for both organisms, one of which (yours) have four bodies.
Now imagine you have seven billion bodies. You use some of them to grow food for all, some of them build shelter for all. Some of them die and you use other bodies to reproduce them. You sacrifice some bodies, if necessary, to save other bodies. Then, for some reason, each of your seven billion bodies gains it's own mind and starts to act as a separate being. But each of them remembers how a few moments ago it was part of one huge organism, how it coexisted with other bodies as one, and your bodies agree to start living as one again, only now they don't feel what other bodies feel, they use speech to now that, to communicate.
With time bodies died and new ones were born, they began to forget that they all was once part of a whole organism, your organism. They began to compete and fight each other, because each of them felt only their own happiness and suffering and didn't want to sacrifice it's happiness for the benefit of other bodies. They united into groups to compete with other groups, drew lines between their territories...
Of course all of this never happened, you have only one body, but still it would be foolish if your hand, which suddenly became self-aware, claimed that it doesn't care for the rest of the body because it can't feel its pain and is a separate creature.
We may not have one mind, but we can definitely act like we do, and live as a whole in peace

The entire law is summed up by a single command Love your neighbor as yourself Galatians chapter 5 verse 14. And Galatians 5 verse 24 those who are Christ's have crucified their flesh with it's affections and lusts.
The greatest command is Love their is no law against it.
If by nature, as you have said. Nurturing mothers bearing children is the comfort that you acknowledge. And than state world demilitarization is needed as one minded consciousness . Changing thoughts and then say one God gives you warm heartedness? What is real in this world or are your imaginations. Your smiling success for what All want. Have wants ever really been meet? And is this dialogue just optimistic dreams that the world can ever change? And disarmament is it totally possible? No matter how much knowledge One has!
