    Although I was in primary school that year, I can still remember vividly when his campaign bus came to our street to campaign. We were group of young children just playing around the neighbourhood. We saw the bus packed on our street, without seeing anyone there, we began to sing "MKO is our man o" and all other jingles of his then.
    Suddenly, a young man appeared as the driver and gave us the highest currency then (20naira). We ate chocolates and drank lots of soft drinks from that money that day. That was one of the moments I never forgot while growing up.
    We were all heartbroken when we heard of his sudden demise. We were all waiting anxiously for his announcement as our new president then. Very unfortunate for Nigeria at that time.

    RIP, the great, irrepressible, kind-hearted MKO! Your ghost will perpetually hunt your killers, including those among them who are dead as they glided into eternal perdition. I was not too young in 1993 - I was of voting age but couldn't vote on account of change in residency shortly before the election month. My vote was to be yours automatic, given your pedigree, sincerity & genuineness to identify with commoners and fight their cause. We knew how liberal you were to everyone who came across you. Your footprints were in every field of human endeavour. A shrewd business man, flamboyant supporter of sports, philanthropist and pan-african. We were full of hope and ecstatic about a better tomorrow for our dear country then, back in June 1993; your campaign slogan was indeed 'Hope 93'. Unfortunately, the evil cabals and their international collaborators dimmed the common-man's HOPE with the annulment of your election as President, and your eventual assassination. 25 years after, it seemed the common-man's HOPE was gone into the grave with you! Alas, the hero in you, all of a sudden, re-surfaced with the recognition of your election as President, and presidential declaration of June 12 as Democracy day which ultimately immortalised the struggle for emancipation of the down-trodden that you died for. Event of the past week has just rekindled our hope that no matter what the forces of evil may do, good will prevail one day and Nigeria can actually re-discover herself. Let's therefore believe in our land that its best is yet to come. We will work for her good, and stand on the side of the truth always - as our PMB just did. Long live, Nigeria! (NOT NAIJA)

      Ambrose Olowo what determination, to loot the country more ,he was a criminal,and his friends knew him too well , that's why they fucked him up ,boomerang,karma, seems you forgot, ITT,they made him pay for the crimes he committed on all nigerian police, and dangote will get same faith , tinubu included

    • @aaolowo
      @aaolowo Před 6 lety +8

      The issue of ITT remains an allegation and I can't comment on what I do not know. However, even if he stole from ITT, he invested in Nigeria and established many companies and business opportunities that provided gainful employment for Nigerians. I am not sure he hid the money in any western country to help their economy and depress ours. Finally, irrespective of his past, injustice must never be condoned no matter the antecedents of the victim.
