I bought a B3 phoenix (from Joel) because of this video. I bought a tone king Metropolitan of the video. They are both stunning instruments ( first time I really thought of an amp as a instrument. The Phoenix is easily the finest instrument I have ever laid my hands on anywhere.

Wow that is awesome ! I so want one of these. Thats one of the best original ideas ive seen in a long time with the firebird pickups, the bodys take aways from the firebird and tele, scale, fretboard etc. Awesome. Id buy one of these.

Great sound! Love that they decided to go with tele controls and that they decided to reverse them, volume tone toggle. I imagine they could easily be switched to the traditional toggle volume tone arrangement as well
The opening instrumental reminds me so much of "Everything'll Be Made Right" by Superdrag. I mean that with the utmost praise. Absolutely breathtaking.
Do you know if that was played in an alternate tuning? Open D or dropped D?

Great demo! Great playing of a wonderful instrument. Great balance of the clean versus overdriven tones. A little more care in the tap versus split terminology. Bonus points for starting with and keeping the guitar in tune. Very well done!

its those ugly tuners that make it stick out ...
Its got a PRS headstock look to it. I don't hate the shape, but chrome tuners would look SO MUCH nicer.
The head stock, and tuners are perfect, as they are.

I think designing an aesthetic headstock is the hardest thing in the world. Because, except for one or two, they're all looks shit.
Perfect except for that PRS tiny headstock. Love that it is one piece though.
Definitely needs a proper reverse Firebird headstock. I'm guessing the Firebird was a whore and somehow managed to mix a PRS' seed with that Tele for that outcome... what a weird 3-way.

Yeah Gene's head stock is kind of his signature. It might be alittle out of place one the body style but thats his stamp. I personally think its better then most headstock shapes out there. On a more awesome note Gene is an awesome guy, couldn't know a nicer guy!
Also people dont realize it but all of Gene's guitars have a dual action truss rod in them. Unless you get a older guitars I think before Late 2011.

My fave pickups are Tele bridge, humbucker bridge, Firebird neck, and Strat neck... this has 2 of the 4 in 1 package. Definitely dangerous to my bank account haha. It's sold though so I guess I'm saved? ...Not feeling very content about that though haha

I really love this guitar but the headstock turned me off. even before i realized other people thought the same so i have to sound in as well and say come on guys you almost got the perfect guitar PLEASE redesign the headstock...i would by it asap if they were to do that but i doubt they will. DAmn!

coolguy4sho its just a headstock it probably stays in tune better than a firebird headstock anyway.
