The BEST concert piano orquesta, for me : Sorita. The BEST sonorite....is for me the principal....
Fully agreee. Other finalists also played wonderful concertos, but, in my humble opinion Garcia’s was far from being the best concerto. I don’t understand this special concerto prize. Well, in fact, I don’t understand his third prize.

I think Chopin is the most difficult composer to interpret for performance.

Transcendental pianism at the highest level.
The thing is that I could listen to Mr.Sorita play for a whole day and beg for more. He is not only a fantastic pianist but also an extraordinary MUSICIAN. The piano sings when he plays and our souls sing along. Mr. Bruce Liu is also a fantastic pianist but I think that after a couple of hours of listening to him I would just go and do something else.
I totally agree and as a matter of fact my comment During The live streaming was similar stating that Kyohei Sorita is not only a extraordinary pianist but an incredible musician and a fascinating young men.
He has a very rare and exceptional gift of entrancing the listener for hours. I'm a pianist married to a pianist so one can only imagine how much piano I've listened to in the past years but he has pretty much entranced me!
Bruce Liu is a good pianist, while Sorita is a genius!
Your performance is the only one that makes me want to listen to it over and over again.

He said he’s changed his body among this two years with his physical trainer for this Chopin competition. He devoted everything for this. More than congratulation. You’re the best always. But take a rest!!!

@@annulrsolformrkelse4023 Mr. Sorita used to be very thin and he played Liszt like a easy stuff. I search up his old performance and found he changes his body figure and sonority these two years. Among the finalists, I love the tone color produced by Jakub and Sorita the most. I think that does help.
The recent interview was proceeded in Japanese.
I hope Mr Sorita would be satisfied with the result of the competition. Jury surely love different kinds of musician but Sorita is surely my favourite. I can feel his passion and love for music through his performance. The feeling of experiencing different things of the world but being more passionate for music. His warm sound touches my heart and the performance is surely a success for him.

Sorita-san says Chopin has been a good friend for him since his childhood. Even when feeling sad and happy, he has been comforted by playing Chopin.
So I guess his playing Chopin is gentle.

I have known this piece for a long time, but listening to Sorita-san's playing was the first time I realized the charm of this piece. Your playing is sooo touching, lovely, sophisticated, totally different from anyone else's. Hopefully please include this piece when you release a new CD. I'll keep following you!!

Although the results of the competition have been announced for several days and the top 4 contestants have been replayed several times, I still don't understand why the champion is not Mr. Sorita. I have blindly tested a few friends: Whose piano you love best? Every answer is Mr. Sorita. I hope that an international classical record company can provide an album chance for Mr. Sorita.
What I think is that the judges score performances based whether or not what the performer is playing the Chopin on poland, if their playing truly pulls out the feelings and message of chopins pieces. Performers like Kyohei may have extravagant quality and precision when playing a piece but you got to remember that its a competition, the judges are looking at specific points that reach that criteria, Sorita did not fully reach their criteria(we can also see some conflict between him and the conductor at the last round) and thus he wasn't crowned the victor. Believe me though, Sorita was my favorite in this competition this is just what i think why Sorita wasnt first.

The top three players cannot have the same score in the final round.
First time I heard his piano was through Anime Forest’s Piano. I wanted to know who is playing the piano and found his name. He was already well known pianist in Japan. Like the story of Anime, now I could enjoy his performance through Chopin Competition! Such a pleasure to enjoy his piano along with other great pianists.

Wow his Fazioli tone is so pleasant, not too bright, great touch.
He played this Rond at the 2nd round with Steinway.
Someone mentioned that Fazioli has a crisp and clarity sound .
However I think that the high pitch sound is too strong comparing to Steinway .
It’s depends on your preference but I think that original Chopin’s sound might be much warmer than today’s piano .
It’s interesting to listen how the music feel different with between theses pianos .
Also normally pianists can’t choose the piano at the concert halls . It will be interesting how they adapt between different pianos in future concerts.
This is real enjoyment, he is the best, bye-bye to this nasty institute competition is good for him. Thank you Sorita.

I am not a pianist but somehow I found myself watching this competition. I think Sorita's playing seemed to issue from his body and fingers and heart. The winner, Liu, was fantastic also but his playing seemed to come more from his brain and less from an emotional core. But the judges felt something else or heard something else I am not skilled enough to comprehend.
