Oh yes, I deeply want my story to be in the Jesus story and to learn how to continue that journey when the inevitable crisis in this broken world comes. Some days I feel my weaknesses get in the way of my hearts desire and God's desire. I want to learn to navigate that better.

Wow! I was quick to know what I want. I want to know the depths of God's love, so I do not look for it from family and friends, who can never fully fill that big hole in my soul.
I know it was God who just showed me this video....blessings and thanks. (The difference is, my hearts desire will come true as long as I stay focused on Him.)

I would like to know what it is that I truly want. Seems like my whole life I have been looking. I think it's wonderful that some people know what they want to do, what they want to be... I wonder how many people are like me?
Julie, thank you for listening and sharing your thoughts! Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart". People who delight in the Lord have righteous desires, and God will put godly desires into our hearts!

I want to know God and myself. Then, to honor that.
Wow, you have such a gift for drawing in your listeners and getting us to think more deeply about our lives. I want so many things in life. I want good health and meaningful lives for my family just like everyone else does. Deep friendships and fun interactions are on the list too. But, in my life, I have become so focused on how the developed world has been ruining the planet for all of humanity and all animals. This has become my purpose, and I have found a few ways to work on this, but I need more patience and more skill to reach others more effectively. I wish I had your talent for storytelling. We miss your voice at Menlo!

I think I want to know what I truly want...I have wanted and pursued what others (culture, family) have told me would bring fulfillment, but it's been "vanity" (Ecclesiastes). I desire to catch a glimpse of how my story is truly part of God's bigger story.

I've read many stories. I enjoy immersing myself into the story, to be a part of it in some way. What's exciting to me is my story is continually being written and I get to experience it, live it. And not knowing the final outcome, how can I influence it. How does God see my story? In a big way, He is constantly putting things in front of me that can guide me to a more complete and perfect, Heaven on earth story. What can I do to see, hear and act in a way that aligns with that?

Hmmmm! Intriguing. I’ve long ago laid down my story to let God have His way with me. Or so I thought. Maybe all the time, in the background, are my wants and wishes tugging and pulling. In any case, I’m along for the course and see where this goes.

God DID get the story he wanted...in His sovereign plan the fall and redemption through Christ was the plan A. He is not a God of plan Bs or reaction to outcomes He didn't want or didn't see coming. He orders ALL for His glory. Praise be to God!
