    Thx, great test and huge thumbs up for it.
    It is test like this i wanted to see as you get all the vital info that often varies from model to model, refresh rate, display segment, decimals ability, and to what range it is still valid.
    well-done channel holder and it goes without saying that certain rangefinders will perform better under certain criteria like building, lights, reflective material, time on target, steadiness, temp, daylight, etc etc..
    and sure this test aint apples to apples as variables did vary from one to the next, but it is still one of the best I have seen, and I could draw a lot of info from it, that I can't find anywhere else, only con is that it is too short, would have loved like 1 or 2 minutes with each model and just cycle around over a landscape to see what they picked up and perhaps cycle between modes if there are higher wattage modes.
    +1 for your test and a shame you don't have more videos, with this harem of top-rangefinders.
    Dont have any of these, out of my price-logic (hence need), as it is mostly the tech, that fascinates me and trying to decipher the 905nm pulse frequency and also see if one can extent the power and pro and cons going down that road...
    got a few older ones, but in the way cheaper segment. 50 to a tad over 100 bucks. (USD) imgur.com/a/FNnrkva
    these toprangefinder are highly expensive here in northern Europe (Denmark) after tax and +25% VAT.. fx RX2800 is like 1000 to 1100 USD here.

      Shouldn't need it. If the RF is in the mail, what good is it?

    The complainers don't seem to realize the ground is a target. Thanks for sharing.

    Very cool! Thanks for putting this video together. What were your impressions at the end? It seems the Leupold performed best, but it also looks like it was tested in significantly lower light which helps a lot. My Razor 4000 performs very well, hitting 100% IPSC target handheld at 1250yards in bright midday sun. It definitely beats my Sig 2000. Curious how you would rank these 4?

    I have the Leica rangemaster crf 2400-r and got 2000-2200 meters readings mid day with clear skies.

    Interesting... I'd love to see you settle the tripod on that far off plate and let them sit perfectly still tell they give a reading.
    🥃 cheers 🍻

    Pretty much tells the story....I just won an RX2800 TBRw. Me thinks I will keep it!

    You also didn't put the Vortex into ELR mode though. I would be curious to see where it stacks up then.

      Fair enough but there are other videos out there and while it may be on par with the Luepold, the glass and LED seems inferior. Plus no need to switch modes with Luepold unless you need a correction for angle.

    you didnt put the Nikon crosshairs on the target...slid right by them...watched other reviews where it was fine out to 1200 yds no problem...maybe put it on a target next time?

      The ground should be a sufficient reflector for all of them.

    If you actually hit a damn target it may give you better readings. My Nikon 4K has hit 4236 yds several times and ranges past a mile often.

      @SocalRaptor Před 4 lety +1

      @@anonymous_friend it doesn't perform based on what's advertised. This isn't the only model. Even the Vortex 1800 version gets out performed by the Leupold RX-1600. I saw that in another review yesterday.

    • @bradlyerickson3174
      @bradlyerickson3174 Před 3 lety +4

      @@SocalRaptor It advertises a 4000 yard range on reflective targets. The ground is not reflective. Only advertises out to 1500 on regular mode and 2200 in elr mode on non reflective targets. What I seen here is pretty on par with its normal results. I’m not saying vortex is better than any other brand but if people would actually read specs you would understand
