- Ni No Kuni - Level Up Fast - Toko XP Farming Demonstration
If you are tired of grinding small amounts of XP in Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch then you have come to the right place! Gain maximum XP fast by following this simple guide and farming early game tokos on Ugly Duckling Isle (Swan Island) when you get the boat.
This tutorial also provides tips on how to prepare beforehand, and how to defeat the challenging familiars found on the island such as Seed Sprite, Mite, and Thumbelemur. This demonstration shows how to level up fast early game using this toko exploit, the best familiars to use and how to get them, useful MP alchemy, suggested level, and battle tips for fast levelling up!
Footage captured from the remastered version of the game on PS4 that has familiar tickets in the bottomless bag. I hope you find this early game toko xp farming exploit guide helpful! I do believe that this is the best way to farm tokos and level up faster and easier.
Please let me know in the comments if you have any questions.

The difficulty spike as soon as you get the boat is insane.
Agreed. Even this duck island is impossible at level 22
Hi just wanted to say a quick thank you for the guide as I have finally come back to Ni No Kuni after owning it for about 10 years ago on the PS3, this time though i'm trying to complete it before the end of the year as its on my back list. Last time I got to Old Smoky the Volcano. So not far but I have heard so much praise over the years that I felt like I had to tick Ni No Kuni off my list =D Wish me luck =D
That's awesome, have fun! I hope my videos help :)
The griffy is a godsend for early game grinding. Once they learn belly buster they basically 1 shot everything until end-game.
Lovely, thank you for this! Perfect timing, I went to island a few days ago after your previous video and found myself completely outclassed.
No problem, quite a few people have said that they have experienced the same thing. So I thought it might be better to show than tell :) - Heather
I 100% NNK on ps3 years ago but now it’s on Xbox and your videos are fantastic for reminders, thank you! 😊
Thanks for the great videos. I played ni no kuni 2 on PC and loved it. Just bought white witch on the switch
This is absolutely perfect. I just finished Hamelin and got the teleport spell, making this strat a lot less of a hassle to do.
Thanks for the help it works great, I have such bad luck with getting tokos lol but when I do it’s awesome
Awesome video, great tips!
Just started playing yesterday and Love it. Thanks for the tips. Love Ur voice btw :)
That's great! I'm currently doing a Ni No Kuni guided walkthrough with commentary and narration. I upload episodes every Wednesday as an ongoing series if you want to check that out? :) Here's the link to the first video: czcams.com/video/OGpXoWzj-YM/video.html
Just started this week and this really help
Awesome, thanks!! :) Great game great vids :)
Kind of a part 2 to this, but when you get the dragon, visit perdida over the mountains from Hamlin, up north west a little, but on the same continent. Get there, you get the evolved form of tokos which give 9k XP and I swear they spawn more, plus you can then use travel to go back to perdida to get respawns, quicker than using gateway.
Yeah this is a great way to get XP mid-game and is my favourite farming spot. There are also tokotocolds in the Ivory Tower later in the game that give you over 20k XP but they are pretty rare. I've uploaded videos for those spots as well :)
you actually saved my life lol thank you for this video
No problem, glad I could help! :) - Heather
Thanks a lot I suscribed ! U can also use the Veil magic to got the Tokos more easily too.
Also to save time after defeat a few takos it becomes easy and you can just farm the island for money and do without loading a new save because they appear in 30% of all battles on the island. I stopped at level 30 so as not to ruin the gaming experience
Please make more Ni no kuni videos ❤😊 my favorite to,watch. Do you stream??? I wanna watch!
I don't stream sadly, but I have previously done a full playthrough on this channel with commentary, VA and tips 🙂 I do have more videos planned, it's just taking longer to create content these days since having a baby...she's almost 2 and I'm gonna brainwash her to love Ni No Kuni too 😅 hahaha - Heather
It took me awhile but I finally got my first toco 🙌🏿
Awesome thank you
"approach him from behind"- Heather 2021😂❤️
Thanks a lot 😁👍. I just need a Griffy cuz non of my familiars hit hard to take out the Toko that fast.
I'm not sure if the exchangeable familiar tickets were in the original game but they are in the remastered version :) You can also buy gear at the cawtermaster that you can equip to your familiars and increase attack damage which might help
I was in a battle against a Toco and was lucky enough to finally be taming one. Unfortunately however the monolith Swaine has decided it would be a great time to cast it's dark embrace spell which stoned the Toco to death. Much sadness.. lol.. I could not believe what I had witnessed.!
If you’re having trouble getting one too spawn I suggest using the save and reset method it refreshes the monsters instantly hope this helps
Edit: Also if you can use a world spell like seek treasure any spell that works and has a text box show up is great for getting behind a toko and yes you can spam them if you have enough mp you can basically freeze them in place also hopes this helps ☺️
Hey, thanks for the video. I came for the info and stayed for the charming presentation
I'm REALLY late to the party for this game, but I still enjoy it nonetheless although it seems really grindy overall and I'm determined to get the platinum, so I'm probably in for a long ride.
Do you by chance have a few recommandations for decent familiars?
Thank you, its nice to share my love of this game with others :) It can feel grindy at the start but there are ways to reduce the grind throughout. In terms of Oliver's familiars, I tend to default to the Mite at the start since its the first familiar he gets, then I swap to the Griffy when I get to the Temple of Trails (trade in familiar ticket in bottomless bag)...then when higher ground becomes accessible later in the game I catch a Dinoceros on The Genies Footsteps. Hope this helps :)
You help so much thanks 🎉
What are the average levels I should be around before starting each boss to make them easier. Not individual characters but just the average between what ever familiars and the main trio.
The best way to tell is to level up in each area until the familiars start running away from you instead of towards you in the overworld
I was mostly just wondering where toko was the exp is just a bonus as I try to tame one 🤣
Seeing you're such a low level at this point really shows me how overleveled I got on accident 💀 that sucks, things are too easy but hopefully will get hard again for me
haha in my first playthrough i did so much early grinding too because i didn't even know about this exploit. Don't worry, the game does have some difficulty spikes but i would 100% support Level 5 adding a hard mode (doubt they ever will though, sadly)
@@Amalgamingle my first playthrough was hell, I had a mighty mite, didn't understand anything, and kinda played it like dark souls but with magic, leading enemies with Oliver while he spammed magic. The part where you become a frog was beyond hell, no magic and my familiars didn't level up since I always changed em thinking they were just bad. Might have leveled too much this time around lol
You don't have to go left, you can still go right and not trigger the next stage if you stick close to the east coast. The quickest way is actually going straight down from castaway cove. When you hit the bottom of the map you teleport to the top. You avoid all the monsters too which is hard to do otherwise unless you have the boat speed upgrade. It was very difficult but on normal difficulty, I went to Ugly Duckling Island at level 22 and was able to farm up past level 30. You need griffy and a monolith to survive though, let Oliver die.
Very True! I just thought better safe than sorry. I didn't want people to accidentally trigger the scene, which is why I said to go left haha But yes, thank you for pointing out the boat speed upgrade, I'm unsure if I mentioned it in the video but its a good idea to have it. Makes it easier to outrun/avoid enemies :)
I like Tacos 🌮
After some time, I start farming the tokoko, the ones that spawn rarely in Perdida, it gives you around 9000 XP
Yeah, that's a great strategy. I normally wait until I get the Veil spell so they don't run away from me :)
@@Amalgamingle yes, that's the only way. I just found out that in Ivory Tower, there is a super rare encounter with Toko-Cold (something like that) that give you 23.000 XP
Can you just show where TBNK c’est long pour rien
The Toko isn’t that much it’s only 1 level up I rather level up 10 times more then just 1 time
There are better farming spots later on in the game where you can get 9k XP from tokotokos on Billy Goats Bluff (Perdida) and then 29k XP from tokotocolds in the Ivory Tower :) I've uploaded videos on both. Hope this helps! x
@@Amalgamingle I played this game back in 2012 on PS3 I totally forgot a lot of things 10 years ago never did I think Xbox was going to get this game and coming to game pass I’m sure your right there are better ones like when you enter the white which’s castle the ending there is a big tall brown guy that is very strong you’ll need the most powerful spell to defeat him to level up faster
Iam lvl25 i cant kill, that monster in thst isle are very strong
They are challenging. Make sure you have lots of healing and MP items. Which familiars are in your party?
i think i level up to much now the game is boring
haha don't worry, the game does get more challenging later :)
Хули чвякаешь после каждой фазы?
This is not a good leveling up spot I rearly get Tokos and when I do I have no MP or HP and I die I don’t know why they don’t provide a better farming spot I’m starting not to like this game for this very reason
Your success in this spot can depend on a few things. What level are you, what familiars are you using and are you using alchemy to create HP/MP restoring items? Phoenix Feathers restore allies from unconsciousness and you can also equip your familiars with better weapons, armour and accessories. There is a better farming spot but it is inaccessible until later in the game.
this is like the best spot for early level, just go with griffin and do that bite skill at toko early on
From ur comment I can say that ur first time at the game so don't say bullshits thx kek, u know... This is the best spot to farm free levels, tokos are rlly weak so u can one shot them quickly, if u always don't have hp/mp and die like a idiot that's only ur fault to be that weak
