- My dog Jess has really helped me in my recovery from Borderline Personality Disorder and an eating disorder. Here are some of the ways she's changed things for me and my mental health! Stay tuned for a whippet temper tantrum at the end.

Having a pup to look after takes you out of yourself, gives you something else you HAVE to focus on and I think that’s why it helps mental health. You touched on the element of routine too, which also definitely helps. I have a greyhound that lets me know if my timings are slipping!
Yeah Jess isn't a stickler for routine (some days she gets out of bed for breakfast at midday) so it's less of a feature for us but you're so right about having something else to focus on. They're lovely companions!
Such a good video. Me and my boyfriend have an ex racing greyhound, and he gives us so much joy as Jess does for you. All of the points you made are absolutely true, especially the cuddles 🤗
Yeah if I'm having a tough day at work and I'm working from home a 2 minute belly rub sorts me right out! That's lovely that you've rescued an ex racer, we'd love to do the same one one day.

Oh Jess, what are you trying to tell us? lol Great videos so far! You are very brave to open up about parts of your mental health too, its very admirable. To answer your question I'd like to hear more content about BPD, but if it feels too vulnerable then thats also understanding. Even short videos with the funny Jess moments or something would be cute, its so nice to see you both as a duo on your youtube, doesn't even matter what you talk about in that sense! ...I also got a dog so I'd have someone else to be responsible for! that and Ive always been one for creative activities which means alot of time spent alone. My dog keeps me company, and more aware of the time and my own needs, because I need to think about hers. Or I'll get a tantrum quite like Tess's at the end! lol
