Very good presentation, I have been there and spent most of a day absorbing all of the exhibits. The ASCOT metal wall from the back of the grandstands is my favorite display. I witnessed Brad Noffsinger's first 18-second run.
You showed the “Ohio Traveler” Rick Ferkel's car, but didn't say anything about him. He passed away on Jan. 1, 2024. He was 84 years old. He was a pioneer of the sport, a champion, a friend, and a mentor to many drivers and fans.
now i like the look of the car at 8.00 but that roll cage takes away from its lines . you like the cars you grow up with and for me it was mid 60's to early 70's ascot , cajon speedway , el centro mid winter fair , brown field aka speedway 117 dick fries and dean meltzer , johnny morehouse , hank Henry , Elmer barney
I drove midgets for a few years....we had 12 inch tires not 13 and we had seat belts. some used a shoulder harness type belt to help hold them upright. I drove a 2 bar car with a v-8 60 I,m Sonny not Phyllis its her web site.
