if you have 10 cameras around you in daylight I bet you would also have a difficult time to dance to trance (especially with the long build ups)
It's not just the cameras. They're in a setting where bouncers can't kick you out. If a disruption escalated they would have to dock the boat and the whole thing would be over. In other words, these are highly exclusive guests that the organisers could trust not to ruin it for everyone else. If that means they're a bit more stiff than in another situation, so be it.

I was thinking the same thing, most of them are more interested in uploading images to their social media accounts, very sad but that's the World today for a lot of the yoof! (youth) :)
i listened to this set first with my daughter when she had her first surgery with an age of 7 weeks back in november 2018, now we are sitting together in front of the pc and listen to it again before her 9th surgery in 4 Days. thats what we do every time before we go to the hospital. thx A&B for this great set.

being in a party on a little awesome boat with an unreal deephouse set like this is extremely high in my bucket list.
I was on the boat when Fat Boy Slim did his first ever Ibiza boat party. I have to say, it's an unreal experience. But I bet nothing comes close to this one in Hong Kong!!

I see a lot of comments saying people on the boat aren't taking in the moment. I don't think people realize that those on the boat aren't random people. It is packed with famous DJ's e.g., ben bohmer and james grant, their family, friends, and above and beyond crew. They all are aware how special this set is and are taking it in I can ensure you.

Just got back from visiting Hong Kong and did a boat tour on Victoria Harbour... I can only imagine that experience coupled with Above & Beyond live. Amazing.

For me this mix PLUS the video became something special in a very short time. It made me cry on several occasions. It's like seeing a path of possibilities slowly closing down. 2018. When HK was still free. It's probably hard to imagine the full extent of pain and grief that many HK citizen experience ever since the transformation that began a year later. I hope "You can never take my soul" will hold true for most.

Man this is so atmospheric, what I'd give to be on that boat, in that humid venue with the cooler breeze appearing as the sun sets, and all those on the tourist boats passing by who'd likely have no clue who or what they're witnessing.

I would say that is a set with deep house and house, ofc that most of the tracks are deep
I think this has little in common with Deep House from Miguel Migs or Lars Behrenroth. I would call this music Deep Trance instead. Brooding, sensual, but not quite as sexy as Deep House.

I come back to this every year. It was the best of days in Hong Kong. A time when hope still remained. I am glad to have this memory, though it fills me with as much sadness as joy. Well helped by the fact that this is an all-time-best set. Ever.

i worked there 1995-1997 i remember watching the fireworks for the handover in the harbour.Time flies.Still a great view!

I've listened to and watched this at least 20 times in the last few months. The build up to Zoe Johnston's "Always" is flawless. It's the highlight of an incredibly deep set: deep house and deep emotion.

This is my favourite Live ABGT set so far. Everything is amazing. From the first moment I have seen this, I wondered how the people on that boat are so chill.. In their place I would jump, dance, cry and lough, sing, scream and live one of the best moments of my life. I am not able to control my feelings just watching it in front of a screen. 😊 lucky people...And watching it now makes me realize how beautiful was the normality..
