- Gerhard Palitzsch was born on the 17th of June 1913 in the village of Grossopitz, near Dresden, then part of the German Empire. He was a farmer by profession, got married to a woman named Luise and the marriage produced 2 children - a daughter Helga and a son Lothe.
On 30 January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg.
In March 1933, the 19 year old Palitzsch joined the Nazi Party and the SS. The same year he started to work as a guard at concentration camps at Oranienburg and then Lichtenburg. In 1936 he was transferred to Sachsenhausen where he worked first as a block leader.

Keep these videos coming. I'm a descendant of Ashkenazi Jews myself, but this is not just about Jews and nazis. It's about people treating each other like sub humans, and it continues in various forms to this day. It has to stop.
The sad thing is I know people who would do these same things today if given the opportunity in the USA.
My Jewish friend and neighbor told me that Jews are taught that they are "God's chosen people" and that Gentiles are equal to "animals or pigs".

Yes, exactly, just like what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinian people especially those in Gaza. A hundred thousand innocent women children and other civilians have been slaughtered or wounded in these horrible crimes against humanity, a textbook style genocide!
It is astounding and disgusting how people such as Gerhard Palitzsch could stoop to so much evil. He sowed violence and murder in a concentration camp and he in turn, reaped the same in Hungary. Thank you for this eye-opening video.

I'm a father of 3 adult children, and 9 grandchildren, I absolutely love them all. Hearing these stories is absolutely heartbreaking. I can't imagine the pain and despair, helplessness watching them all get murdered.. then the absolute RAGE inside praying to be able to exact revenge on those inhuman bastards...
20,000 women and children of Gaza have been murdered. Just think about it. All within a few months. And the death toll is counting everyday. The whole world is watching helplessly.
Having recently been to Auschwitz and Birkenau camps i wondered at what point does an ordinary man even one who joined the SS realise he can do as pleases to another human being without restraint...and then after the war go back to being an ordinary man who is a baker, joiner, tailor with a wife and family and live a life ? I cannot fathom this at all.

It's always "amusing" when you hear about those guards who were too evil or corrupt even for the SS.
another monster uncovered, thank you. This video clearly shows that brutality toward the prisoners was rewarded with money and promotion. Many people think this guards were insane but there were rational reasons why they acted so brutally. They were cruel because cruelty was part of the job description. You should do a video about the purpose, use, location and end of the Czech and gypsy. camps. It is information on how people were deceived into walking into the gas chambers.

Have you done a video on the Nazi's that WEREN'T executed but instead giving a new life, free home, bank account(s) with money already in it, New Cars etc. etc. by the Allied countries after the end of WW2? If not why not?
To many of those rotten perisite escaped justice. Many at the hands of Western powers, as well as the new German government, placed in power.
MANY Americans were pro-NAZI and only followed orders when fighting them. After the war we needed people to lead Germany back into a good nation status. Remember that George Patton a war hero detested Jews and liked NAZIS. So when looking for German leaders he was biased towards pardoning NAZIS. The more one researches this subject the worse Americans look. America rejected Jews seeking asylum under FDR so we were complicit in the deaths of those people when they were returned to Germany. America hated Jews as much as Hitler, particularly Henry Ford. Also, the Christian KKK hated Jews as much as black people or Catholics which is overlooked most of the time now.

Primitive? Germany was a major center for intellectual achievement until Hitler came along. Beethoven and Wagner were played for the German troops. Many composers were deemed non-Aryan and were suppressed until after WW2. Many are still unheard in 2024. So the NAZIS have succeeded in erasing much of our culture. They labeled jazz as only fit for black people who are rare in Germany during WW2, but some of them were gassed in the NAZI death camps so blacks should review their oppression during that period. It was relatively small but a part of the German Final Solution. KNOW YOUR ENEMIES THAT ARE STILL FOUND IN AMERICA WHICH IS VASTLY OVERRATED.

What happened to his children after he was killed? They were both young with no parents.
No one knows. My guess is either extended family adopted them or they quite possibly ended up in an orphanage considering the dire straits Germany was in at that time.

I think this may be one of the few videos that actually live up to ‘there were no tears shed’. Since he was too evil even for the SS and sent to jail, not even his child knew him well enough to shed tears.
I will never understand any of this, I will never understand how anyone can do such horrors how any human could kill innocent people especially children.

History can be both educational and sad
The more one learns about American history the worse it looks. Genocide against Native Americans was real and horrifying and some of our presidents were part of that.
How beasts such as Palitzch disassociated themselves from the brutality they committed daily as they retired back home to their families is mind boggling.
These series have reinforced my belief that a significant segment of humans.
Given the opportunity are capable of committing all manner of brutalities against each other. And justify doing so without any iota of shame nor sympathy.
"There were no tears shed" is a pathetic joke; he killed and tortured tens of thousands of civilians and never payed for his crimes. If there wasn't for the Soviet or Romanian troops to have him killed, Palitzsch would have lived a nice and prosperous life in USA or South America. Western allies justice at the end of WW2 was a disgrace.

I can't remember the name of the book I read but it was about a Jewish woman who was imprisoned in Auschwitz and she talked about having a relationship with him. Their relationship got discovered and that's actually what got him in trouble and she was sent to another camp. I remember she said he told her he had fallen in love with a gypsy woman and he had her sent to the gas chamber for whatever reason.

German soldiers were paid about one mark per day. In 1939 it took 11.5 reichsmark to buy one pound sterling. One pound sterling in1940 would be equal to about £70 today.

My maternal grandfather ended his war in Auschwitz, he was in MI6 and was working in Europe when someone he had worked with snitched on him. Yes he was Jewish but he spoke 7 languages so could converse with a lot of people. He made it out alive (only just) and he got home in 1952, he died in 1963 aged 49 and he suffered every day of his life from 45-63. Maybe it would have been better for him if he had died as he was the living dead
I read a book about the British pows there. They were treated horrifically. The Germans did not care about the Geneva convention at all
