I have made same machine. But I can not manage to keep equal density of twisting along the rope lenght. It come out to tight near the machine and too weak near the rear hook. What am I doing wrong?
try stroking the twisted ropes to distribute the twist evenly and adjust the weight holding the single hook, also watch so you dont overtwist the strands before you start moving the wooden placeholder
@@mikkosnellman I think he asks about countertwist on the side of a made rope like it is in big ropewalks. No, this small thing is using self twisting forces of the rope, that's why it is kept in tension on a rope with a "free to spin" hook.
Mike can you help me to find one this rope making machines please l am really interested in buying one thanks I can wait no problem, just let me know when you are ready I would love to have option to attache it to a cordless drill as well as the manual crank I live in Canada is there any problem to ship here?

The middle hook is for overtwist after laying.

Are you reverse twisting on the finished side of the shuttle?
