Wow, I've never seen a fire crew applauded like that before. Great video. Most informative. Would liked to have known what appliances attended, and from which stations, but still a great video.

the best well presented I have seen so far. And a good work from FD in a difficult fire they were able to stop the spreading of fire.

This video, beyond tragic though it is, in what it reports, depicts and explains, is first class.

I've watch 2 of these case studies by the Scottish Fire Service (this and Rosepark Care Home) they really are very well done. Very factual and informative and allow for some good debate and discussion for some Incident Command training. Would be great to see more of these become more widely available. Thanks for these - they've really helped me and my watch.

Fascinating report, but lack of information about how a world class Grade 1 listed building was filled with highly flammable material with no means of stopping a fire? and now it's all happened again ?

Although the fire fighting was a heroic action, Machintosh Library has gone, and great loss of heritage of mankind. As a university lecturer, I have seen too often projectors and PCs are left running.

What a sorry change of state for what used to be the.Glasgow Fire Service. The Management (who used to be called officers) should read James Braidwood instruction on fighting fire. Never heard so much verbal garbage. Example. Pumping water uphill from the Clyde when the canal was about a hundred yards above the building.

Good video - with regard to the rebuild too much money has been thrown at it already - they should try saving some of many wonderful buildings lying rotting in Glasgow city centre that no one gives a shit about - funny how everyone and their dog is horrified about a Rennie Mackintosh building but walk past amazing buildings everyday but its ok for them to fall to bits - a lot of people are like sheep they only like what others say they should like

A total fuck up from start to finish. The leadership is disgraceful. In my G F S days we would have snuffed it out with 2 hosereels.
