U know, you COULD do the whole album, OR you could do the whole string of songs this one is a part of. It's called the '12 Step Suite' and it spans multiple albums covering the 12 steps of AA. The original drummer Mike Portnoy wrote those songs as an exercise in his recovery from alcoholism. It would be appropriate, since he's currently touring (or toured) with an assembled band playing the whole thing at once for the first (and last) time! The complete list of songs are: The Glass Prison This Dying Soul The Root of All Evil Repentance The Shattered Fortress It seems Vadrum is doing covers of each of these as well, so that's pretty cool...
The album is supposed to be a cycle therefore the end of Octavarium (Last song on the album) is the beginning of root of all evil (First song on the album)
You better do Octavarium, and if you’re planning on doing a full album it better be Scenes From a Memory by Dream Theater. Start to end it is just majestic
Mikan Yuuki it is part of a series of songs all themed on the 12 steps of AA, so yeah there are elements of quite a few of their other songs in this one.
So do you want me to do the full album or other of their songs?
MetalBreakdown yes
Six degrees of inner turbulence (disc 2 is a full song but its 43 mins...)
Simon Gaudreau, are you a french canadian? if so, so am I haha
oui j'suis québécois haha!
Hehe vraiment cool :P

Seth Brundle - and listen to The Mirror (from Awake) as a prelude

Panzer Soldat 115 I always wondered if a band would do it, not surprised it was dream theater
Dreem Teeter
James LaBrie is one of the elite metal vocalists. Period.🤟🏻

The only problem is that I already know that one :(
You better do Octavarium soon.
Yeah I'm explaining it in the video!
6:43 Kinda sounds like the vocal part of This Dying Soul.

It's part of a series of songs called the twelve step suite which these two songs are apart of
