The dart scene, in my opinion, is one of the best scenes in the entire show. It's so good! I love this episode.

They always nail it with episode no 8. Season 2 episode 8 is by far the strongest episode of the show. I haven't watched season 3 so can't tell about that.
That scene and the scene where Roy hugs Jamie are my two favorite scenes in the show
It’s an awesome scene, but his speech… doesn’t really fit the moment. Rupert asked if he likes darts.
“I played darts with my Dad every Sunday from when I was 10 until I was 16 when he passed”, my heart breaks and warms with this line.
And knowing what happened to his dad makes it hurt so much more.
Love how this show doesnt drag things along for the sake of it and instead treats its characters like the mature adults they are. Its more realistic and refreshing
Exactly. Unlike other shows they don't create drama just to create drama and more times than not it's not dragged out over episode beyond episode. It's addressed like adults in a reasonable time frame and manner.

It really is life altering. When I’m grieving or self-pitying or anxious or angry, there’s a character here who expresses the same feeling and finds a way to be at peace with it.

the dart board scene drawn me to the watch the show in its entirety. That scene does NOT get old, even after repeated viewings of the series. In fact, it'll hit harder once you have the full scope of the story.

One of my favorite foreshadowing/call-backs of this season is back when Keely showed up to Rebecca’s office to start doing PR work for the team and Rebecca asks if she couldn’t find a notebook without a unicorn on it. Keely says “F*ck off, it’s adorable”. Higgins laughs and says he was just wondering how she’d react if he told her to “Eff off”. They all laugh and she dismisses him. Then they bring it back this episode when he actually does tell that to Rebecca this episode. Masterful writing. 😂

Ted hustling Rupert like that is a truly amazing scene. It shows that Ted isn't above using guile and deception, but he's still going to do it in a very Ted way. Plus, it's just satisfying seeing Rupert be humbled a little.
My heart misses your 4th - bring sweet Calvin back, as his spirit will soar through the Ted Lasso episodes. One of my favourite things to do is watch Ted Lasso episodes "reflected" through other people, and seeing how it has affected this group and the intelligent discussion afterwards has drawn me towards your entire channel.
the darts scene did it for me. i swear this show changed the way i view life. it's got so many wholesome, lessons without being so on the nose or forcing it down your throat. the way you figure out and interpret those lessons makes it more personal from viewer to viewer

Yep, this show is/was exactly what many of us needed--and still need! Great episode and reactions. The Diamond Dog scenes and milk puns were so fun, and the dart scene is near the top of the list for this series---no worries; there are many more brilliant moments to come!

@ 14:27 when Eric says, “there’s just something about this show, it feels like exactly what I needed at this point in my life.” I couldn’t agree more. I watched another reaction to this show from the wonderful Natalie Gold (not plugging or advertising, I just like some of her stuff as well) where she describes the show as “chicken soup for the soul.” And I thought that was a perfect analogy.

I LOVE the dart scene, it’s one of my favorite scenes of any show ever. My favorite thing about this show is it handles difficult situations without making viewers feel awkward or uncomfortable with the characters, it’s never cringey. Every episode makes me feel good. I wish I had the diamond dogs for advice.
Favorite episode for me of all 3 seasons.
The dart scene was when I really ‘got’ Ted. He lost his dad at the age he most needed that role model, so he decided to become that role model. Just how hard that was we get to later
If you guys ever watched Scrubs in the early 2000's you will see Bill's style and how well he can write and direct. He also let's the actors direct episodes!

Love LOVE L❤VE Ted Lasso!!! A Bestie kept badgering me to watch it. I didn't have AppleTV, so I tired it out on a 7-Day Freebie and was HOOKED! I ZOOMED thru 2 seasons to get ready for Season 3. Exceptional writing, directing, acting - EVERYTHING!! Best show I've see in decades. It is SO what I needed too. 🤩

14:30 Eric that's actually a very common theme when people talk about this show. Remember it premiered at the very height of the Covid pandemic. At a time of unprecedented loneliness and despair in the world as we were all stuck in our homes. It was the perfect show at the perfect time.
This is when the show starts to get REALLY good. What a great episode 👌
The layers of Ted that this show unravels is simply excellent writing. It doesn’t mire in the depths too long but just enough for you to appreciate just how well these actors are portraying these characters. So well done. Reminders me of the quality of Barry but not as dark.

The character of Roy Kent is based on a real footballer named Roy Keane who was a big footballer for Manchester United in the 90's and early 2000s. He currently is a sports pundit on UK tv. He's known as a hard man in football but also has that soft lovable side.

One of the best things I enjoy about Ted Lasso is that the adults actually act like adults! Sure they have their moments, but they're only moments and then people grow up and adapt. It's so rare.

English people do drink an astonishing amount without getting impaired. (OK, generalizations; but this is my experience.) On one visit to attend a summer opera festival with English friends, we had beer with our pub lunch; then champagne before the opera, wine with our dinner during the dinner intermission, then the (they told me) traditional Pimm's cup after the opera before driving back, with a stop en route for more beer when we passed through a town they knew and had to stop at the pub. It didn't seem to affect them a hair, and meanwhile I was practically crawling on the sidewalk.

As a normal person, I try my best to see the best in people, but I do have faults. Ever since I saw this scene though, I have tried to make an effort to live through those words, though since I'm shy my curiosity doesn't super show, but at least it helps me try to talk to new people, which I am thankful for

Keeley didn't demand that Rebecca "make it up to Ted". She wants Rebecca to come clean to Ted what she was plotting. Keeley already knows Rebecca set it up
I don't think selling the club would work for Rebecca. Where they're a middling at best club, but on the brink of relegation, it wouldn't be worth as much, and it's likely that Rupert would just buyout whoever bought it so he can have the club he loves back. The only way she can guarantee she keeps it from him is to keep it herself until the club goes under.
