Yonex was pretty late to the game with a 0.65mm string. Even when 66ultimax was release and turned into a dud and now known as a tournament string. We had many many brands already settled into this string gauge. Gtone5 , Kizuna z65, Li ning no 1 and zymax 65 are all top strings and each have some unique properties. It's good to see yonex tries to put their own spin into this realm.

I'm amazed by the durability of Exbolt 63. Much more durable than my previous string 66 Brilliant/ Ultimax. Exbolt 65 could be even more durable due to the thicker gauge

The Exbolt 63 is not very durable for me, I strung it on my 100 zz at 24 lbs and it broke after around 4 hours of playing, there are some miss hits here and there but 4 hours is still too little.

Hello Henry & Jeff, While reviewing the string please add one other section, is it suitable for nylon shuttle players. Since I have played with this string and I found it's extremely good string in all aspects as you told, being an long term Nanogy 99 user I felt it's more crispy and little more powerful than Nanogy 99.
However with regards to the durability, it's not at all good. It broke on the third day after I strung it with (26 cross 28 lbs).
My dealer told it's not suitable for Nylon shuttles before he gave to me, however I want to try it out.
It might be suitable for feathers, but not sure why not even lost for more than three days for nylon shuttles (Mavis350/600), That too it broke in the mid of the sweet spot.
Yes of course I felt more accuracy on the shots, where every I want to place, it exactly dropped on those places, but regards to durability it's not good and for the high premium price it's not worth.
This string might be suitable for the International level players and it's not for everyone.
Overall it's not value for money while comparing to Nanogy 99.

I'm an intermediate club player. I have Yonesx 88D with exbolt 29lbs (vertical and horizontal). I feel the repulsion is not that good. Thinking of going for exbolt 63 with 29lbs horizontal and 27lbs vertical. Is this a better option ?

doesnt seem that much more durable than the exbolt63 tbh
however, i do enjoy playing with it and it seems more durable than ultimax or aerobite... so i guess ill continue using the exbolt65 :)

I used the EB65 at 26lbs on my Yonex 88D Pro. You are right, if one is used to hard feel strings, this one may not be to their liking. I absolutely hated this one. I deliberately strung it at 26lbs (compared to my normal of 28lbs) as I didn’t want to break it soon, it lasted me 5-6 games over 2 weeks, didn’t break - I still replaced it with 66Ultimax. I liked the EB63 more than this. That being said, I am not going back to EB series at all. Sticking to my NG95 (quite a durable and an all rounder string) and 66Ultimax.
