I'm one of those pissed off customers. I bought my podgo last September...
Me too I bought in Jan!
Love the blunt honesty, so refreshing...
Absolutely love your detailed and thorough reviews!!!
Bluetooth probably wouldn’t work because of latency 😉
Another question is why the transceiver is not charged while in the storage cavity? Why do I have to plug it in the guitar in and block it so I can not play with a cable while charging? 🤔🤦🏼♂️
Man I just wanna say, your playing is freaking phenomenal. When you switched to the higher gain patch with the delay and started playing, man you tore it up a little bit there. Great tone and even better playing
Only one complaint... why would they put the charging circuit on the Guitar Input, and not have it charge when it's in the "Holder" instead? It's right there....
I thought that was a little odd also. Plus, it wouldn't stick out waiting to be kicked while it was charging.
That might be to prevent over charging, rechargeable batteries can decrease battery life when they’re overcharged, they could have a system that stops charging when it’s full, but it’s still a fairly new product so maybe they’re still working on that
Probably too protect the battery and the plug. You probably wouldn't want the metal on metal rubbing around 27/7, but I will say, it is a bit odd at first glance
Mine came in yesterday! It had been on back order for almost 2 months! I had only about an hr to use it! I’m impressed with it! My friend has the Helix and the tones compare well to his! I gig almost every weekend so excited to not have to carry in my amps and pedal board! I’m not as young as I once was! If I can get the tone close I’m sold on gigging this unit! It’s crazy I’ve used Marshalls, line 6 amps, you name it; I get the same reaction from the crowd! Some hot blonde in the front row doesn’t have a clue what amp I’m using or whatever lol! I play to those people not the snobs “ o where is your tube amp” lol!
Blondie probably wouldn’t notice you’ve got no lead plugged into your guitar either, but if the wireless transmission quality is good has no drop out and tone loss then all good for simplicity of setup at a gig.
Learn the use of the period. You end EVERY sentence with an exclamation mark.
@@redjacemory4404 Hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Opps ……………..🖕🏼
It is just me or this is a weird design to charge it in the guitar input instead of the storage hole? :(
I am glad I held off on buying the pod go until now. As a soon to be ex owner of the helix floor (upgrading to quad cortex), I always felt the inclusion of built in wireless tech should have been included. This seems like a great "grab and go" kind of rig. A bit basic, but good for those gigs where you don't need a lot of flexibility
My experience with Bluetooth headphones through my audio interface and laptop is that the Bluetooth adds a lot of latency. So much that it was unplayable. I fear adding Bluetooth headphones to the pod go wireless would have the same result.
You would need wireless headphones with RF transmission. czcams.com/video/qEVRs5kw-s8/video.html
Thank you for speaking directly, at every turn that doesn't involve humor that is so worth it also. =D
What a great idea, all in one solution
I got the pod go when it came out, and I love it. I don't need a wireless version.
Thanks for the info!
You need it.
I came for the shirts really - I love your shirts - I stayed because you tell the truth as you see it - danke schoen!
A bluetooth headphone may have too much latency to play guitar, I think.
That’s true, playing over Bluetooth is not possible but they could provide a Output Jack for a cabled headset in the transmitter. But then it’s just a semi wireless solution. Best option would be if they offer an optional 2,4 GHz wireless headset that’s compatible with the board in my opinion.
nope, Bluetooth 5.0 and Bluetooth low latency has almost 0 latency, it is so low that you can not listen to it, for example Xbox and ps4 controllers, actually Bluetooth 5.0 is so good that devices with 2.1 can have much less latency
@@simonstheatre i like the idea of having our preferred cabled IEM to the transmitter. That makes alot of sense for musicians.
You are the man always make me laugh.
They really should have made the transmitter charge in the storage bay instead of the guitar input. Now if your transmitter battery is dead, you cannot use a cable to plug in your guitar and charge the transmitter at the same time!
Got my Go back in October. I do not have wireless envy though some may. I still trust my cables more, both for tone and reliability.
It isn’t bait and switch - I think the Pod Go Wireless was developed at the point they released the original Pod Go.
The problem was the G10T transmitter issues….
Ugh... I've had the G10 for a few years. I'm PISSED. It was great until the "safety" update. Now it doesn't last more than an hour, and constant dropouts. My last few gigs I've had to use my old G30, which still works flawlessly after 7 years.
Hey Henning! Reg. wireless headphones, Bluetooth technology is not really suitable to practice guitar due to its latency... It would be very nice if Line 6 or any other brand designed a cheap transmitter/receiver set based on some other tech for this specific purpose, though...
You're right, a little bluetooth transmitter/receiver I also use with my AKG712 anyway...
But luckily, I'm on a farm at the top of a mountain - I can make noise whenever I want :D
I agree about the whole global setting thing, but wouldn’t that be solved by saving presents “guitar+wireless”? I’m getting one, so I’m curious…need a backup plan if I forget to pre-power the wireless 😬
Love your style dude !!! And ive bought this recently ... have they sorted out the guitar wireless global issue ?
Great video - Nux works for me just fine :)
I was tempted with the wireless version but you have convinced me to buy the pod go and a separate set of wireless transmitters.
I am about to buy one of these Wireless. Why did you get it ? Thank
The pedal might be cool... but how cool is the blurry background in the videos recently! Looks stunning! What did you change in your camera setup?
Will this allow for two inputs: Guitar input AND wireless?
2 secs in you made my day.
This is how live gigs will be done.
The Bluetooth headphones idea is a great one.
Here in the UK, it is already in the stores Andertons music
That’s pretty cool 👍
oh my god that hedgehog at the end what a baby.
Also I get why they did it esp in light of the uh, fire issues but it would be really nice if the transmitter charged while in its little storage cubby instead of having to remember to plug it into a different port.
I wish all of the current HX and Pod had bluetooth connectivity, HX edit on your phone would be amazing.
"Which is just stupid" Henning always makes me smile! :)- Best wishes Brent
thanks for the review, im angry with line 6 but i want to know when they are goin to fix the eq effet problem.
They cannot do the headphone wireless because of the latency via bluetooth. I m surprised you were not aware of that. The only way to do that was to add an IEM wireless system on the pod go which means a huge cost bump. I m all in for that in any case.
9.22 - Line 6 actually messaged him that they just released the update.
Really like my POD Go 🤘 NOW the real question....did you go for a run around the garden ??? 🤣
I hope they fixed the wirelss unit from overheating when charging plus I have issues with g10s cutting out which is big issue with reliability
Have you experienced any issues with the POD GO.
People are saying they loose high end articulation unless they put a boss pedal such as a TU-2 tuners or wireless relay system first...?
Maybe a non-issue with the wireless pod version as the built in wireless transmitter will act as a buffer.
Apparently this is an issue at POD Go's input stage according to its impedence.
I'm not an expert, but would't Bluetooth be too slow. Latency wise?
Just do a 2 way wireless system in one box.
Is it just me needing a two way wireless as standalone, too?
Thanks!Do you sell your Pod go presets?
What if the other guitar player in your band also uses one of these? will the signals be interfered?
Great review. Thanks. So if I already have a HX Stomp and a Helix Rack better to just buy a separate wireless system and use that.
Agree why no Bluetooth?? Bluetooth for aux in to jam to tracks to?
You had me @ 1:34
Hedgehog harmony hut kits from Amazon?
🦔🎸🎸+7🎸-5🛖
If you switch to acoustic playing live will it transmit the natural sound?
I agree I bought the wired one and then a month later they came out with the wireless and yes I am pissed. Had I known I would have waited and gotten the wireless one.
I like the idea of this but, I prefer going into an external stand alone compressor and eq before the Pod Go input. So I don't imagine this would work for me.
maybe using the FX loop, you can place the loop in any part of the chain
@@ATTAproject I imagine that's possible, Thnx!
I feel like Line 6 is missing unit like 'Line 6 amp go' which basically will be FRFR column with Pod Go engine. I know that firehawk was available in their product line but it seems that it was missing something.
Question for all my TEC boys, can you use the POD GO straight into Studio Monitors like KRK Rokit 6’s?
if the monitors have XLR or TRS then yes.
The global Input Selektion ist very necessary... What If your Bass Player steps in the Transmitter und destroys IT... In a live Situation you have to program all your 50 Patches you need If you have to use a cable.....
Any tone lose when you do swells?
Could you charge and use a cable with a splitter?
Bluetooth would be good in all line 6 products so we can customise pre-sets / connect tablets, phones, PC's wireless.
Line 6 are notorious for this and not supporting products after a short time. I have a Firehawk with no support along with 2 pods. Won't buy any more products from them anymore.
Notorious with whom? I've never had an issue with Line 6 support with any of their products.
Don’t think so. The Helix is a great example of a product that is very well developed over the years. And still is.
@9:30 Yes. I now have a photo of that.
Regarding the bluetooth transmitter idea for the headphones to go completely wireless: latency? Even if Line6 would have built-in their transmitter to send their digital audio straight to a headphone it would be terrible. Can't even imagine how a 3rd party transmitter from amazon would work out, probably real bad.
I use line 6 g10 relay and also another for my spider v mkii 240 hc amp. Never let me down. Only massive issue for me is you have to have the amp switched on to keep the transmitter charged. Why can't line 6 amps charge the g10 via some kind of standby mode on the amp. This is annoying.
You apparently need to have the POD Go switched on for it to charge as well.
So did line 6 listen to any of your recommendations?
I really don't mind using wired headphones with that, even if it doesn't make that much sense with an unit that says "wireless" on it.
It would be great if it had zero latency Bluetooth headphone output but that doesn't exist right now. Even the newest bluetooth standard still has way too much latency.
I hope Line6 would come up with radio frequency headphones for this unit. Anyway, the first company to produce a headphone set with a radio frequency transmitter (that you can plug into any unit) will immediately sell millions of them simply due to an already existing demand for them.
Iv said the same thing for a long time! I’d spend 400 bucks on this if it had no output! Just wireless headphones! But an output would be nice too! We need a solid at home headphone option for practice and people that live in apartments!
So basically better waza air headphones. Tbh I'm all for it too, having a footswitching platform would rule.
so do they have a global setting now?
i thought this is really convenient at first, then i realized i can't use 4 cable method with this if i want to use my amp's preamp section.. also its a bit pointless if I need to use the expression pedal or footswitch, since those are not wireless.. if im sitting in my desktop i dont mind to play with a short cable. good feature to have none the less
Why couldn’t you use the 4cable method?
I only wish they had to just put the varraix JTV connector 🙏 which is missing so they can replace the Pod Hd 500 x series . May be
"Pod Go X "
With all of Line 6's strengths, Bluetooth isn't one of them. I bought an Amplifi a few years ago and it's Bluetooth performance is deplorable. I'd just prefer that they support their own products better. Put a VDI jack on there for a Variax!
Does this one overheat?
‘People want me’. Haha. Brilliant. The world is going to tiny updates. We’re at the pinnacle of technology for guitars so this is how all technology companies will have to survive. The games up. We’ve hit the peak. There’s little more can be done apart from screw the customer over. Gone are the days of exceeding expectations. They’re all just focussed on the next psychological trick, the next must have. My last purchase, back-stepped to a GT8 for £80 and focussed on practice rather than gimmicks. Don’t care how many effects are on offer, if ya can’t make em talk, what’s the point. Eddie’s words, not mine. Shove the effects, just gimme one amp sim. Peace 🙏
When they knew? You right, But Line 6 Marketing is amazing ! I think a lot sell the V1 to buy this Wireless , ahah 600 euro and no Variax input? Maybe on the pod Go V3 ahaha Typical Line 6 .
Why don’t they do it with 2 wireless transmitters so the pedal can accept guitar and send to the amp wirelessly? If there’s a company that does this I will consider digital over my amp. Otherwise it’s just more cables and adaptors and batteries that go flat
Why no bluetooth? Did you try it? LATENCY!!!
since this is very dependent on using a computer to edit the sounds they should have made it bluetooth so you could connect the computer to it without using USB cable.
HP isn’t his initials, it stands for Honest Presenter....👏👏👏 Love YOUUUUU!!!!!
Doesn’t Bluetooth introduce latency?
Mine works fine out the box …all presets …probably n update yeah
"When I'm noodling on the couch...." non guitar players wil be "WTF?!"
@4:40 Henning loses his Line 6 endorsement in 3....2....1.....
I heard apple is gonna release an update where they finally have sms text.
Why in the world isnt the charger in the storage hole?
Huh... but what guarantees that bluetooth would not have latency issues.
And this is how all those people online will sell their G10 transmitters without the receiver lol
Now I just need a wireless foot to press the pedals.
You lazy ass😂😂😂😂
Same thought came to my mind
Best comment so far! LOL!!
Sorry to mention this, but the Bluetooth part of the review is misleading. Bluetooth headphones never work for playing a real-time instrument due to latency. You need RF wireless transmission and headphones Sony TMR-RF995R or the like.
The only downside in my opinion is that it hasn't come out at the same time as the normal Pod Go.
"Because EVERYTHING is better with Bluetooth."
isn't this a fire hazard and wasn't it recalled?
A) it was fixed with a software update B) This is Mark II
I'm sure POD GO 3.0 will have Bluetooth.
My wireless guitar setup has been around for a couple hundred years, it’s called an acoustic.
no one wants to hear your folk music, go back to the forest hippy!!!! JK lol :D
Schade das ihr nicht auch mal Videos in Deutsch macht .... Wäre auch für Anfanger total Super....
Hey Hennig, Just thought, I'd let you, and any other , of your viewers know about this. It concerns, any Line 6 wireless users, of The relay transmitter , for the G10, G10S, and the G10T.[ Check out , on CZcams, video from MARCH 18th,2021. (Yesterday)]..Line 6 issued a, recall to repair, these wireless units, made BEFORE ,March of 2020. (Last year). And goes back as far as 2016..Apparently there is a Fire Hazard Alert, also issued by Line 6 .All it requires , is a firmware update of the latest version,1.06. Available on the Line 6 web site. Supposed to take about 5 mins.. Hope this helps, some of you. Fires can be disastrous.
this was all fixed last year and this is Mark II, so the issues are gone
@@EytschPi42 I just thought I'd let some of the other viewers, who may still have an earlier model, that there could be issues. You have a great channel. I love it. You do great reviews, and demos...I have Lps and SG's A strat and two teles. Because of you ,I have become ,a Harley Benton freak. I own 5, and a vert 2x12w/30's. And about 3 hours ago, I just ordered , another one. They are amazing guitars, for the money.. Keep doin', what you're doin', man.
You've apparently never tried playing through Bluetooth headphones.
3:17
Bluetooth has latency issues...
ですよみたい
Why no Bluetooth? Lol... There is something called latency in Bluetooth data transmission..
true
Right now it’s just “ass”
Yeah....it's not a very clever thing....🤔
