- What's good Profound Travelerz! Join us in Trinidad & Tobago for an unforgettable adventure. TT is such an underrated and beautiful country, full of natural wonders, and amazing people. We had a chance to visit all over Port of Prince, inland, southern parts of the country, and even a ferry ride over to the relaxing beautiful island of Tobago. The diversity of people and the food culture of the nation is quite distinguished from any country that we have traveled to thus far. It was effortless to make friends and establish organic connections with locals. With all being said, enjoy the video and stay tuned for our next video as we highlight Trinidadian food.

As an American staying in Trinidad. I feel Trinidad is pretty safe. You just need to do what you would do anywhere and exercise caution. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Is it hard to move to Trinidad fully? How does one gain citizens hip?
@@StellaStarr-wb6ys To be honest. I have family there. I live half the time in Trinidad and half the time in the states. I don’t live there full time. To answer your question, the easiest way to gain citizenship is through marriage (if your husband/wife is from there) if you don’t already have roots there. You can also get a work or school visa. Someone who has lived their life there might know best. I’m definitely not the authority. I honestly suggest visiting first if you have not already. I hope this helps.💜
BTW! One of the best things about having a citizenship in Trinidad is that you are able to have dual citizenship.

@@StellaStarr-wb6ysThere are 4 ways to gain citzenship for Trinidad and Tobago; 1 being born here,2 descend if one of your parents or both parents are born here and you were born in some other coutry you can apply through descent, 3 marriage to a local and 4 natrualization. Yes I am a Trinidadian.

I mistakenly said Port of Prince instead of Port of Spain at the beginning of the video. Just woke up early after a long flight with a layover from LA. Was a bit disoriented, forgive me the wonderful people of TT!

If you visit Trinidad, you can't miss a trip to Topes de Collantes National Park. Fifty percent of its native species live in these mountains that are part of the Sierra del Escambray. With views of wildlife, tropical vegetation and rock formations coming together is an environment that will leave you speechless

The origin of carnival came through slavery an East Indian people never really took part in carnival because East Indians from Hindustan they had their own culture, and it wasn't till I left Trinidad I noticed that the younger generation of East Indian descent started intermingling in da festivities which we call carnival and the descendants of slaves through slavery created The festivities off carnival ,an all the good stuff that comes with da festivities, That's why most of the a Afro melanated caribbean countries Even Brazil where there has a huge Afro community off descendants of slaves they resonate with carnival . Carnival is a afro Caribbean South American and also replicated throughout the United States England Holland and other places.
I went down the last two years to visit family in Trinidad and loved going to the fish fry in Carenage on a Friday night. Nice presentation my man.

As a expat birthed in Trinidad raised mainly in America your video was one of the best that I have watched thus far, although you did mispronounce some of the names of places i.e.
Port of Spain, and food ( ROO TEE)( not Rawti). However, I love the fact that you took the road less travelled, you visited the Botanical Gardens, hiked up The Lady Chancellor Road and learned to wine. I especially love that you visited Carenage. This is my community, a special one and watching it brought huge smiles to my face. Your interactions with local Trinbagonians highlight the importance of travel, it is about having genuine connection with people. Travel is about being present in the moment and allowing every experience to count. I am so proud of my people for demonstrating some of the great qualities that defines our Trinbogonian spirit, we are hospitable, we are friendly, we are generous and we love life. Trinidad and Tobago have challenges like anywhere else in the world, we do not have ownership of negativity. We are a multicultural, multi religious, diverse society economic island and with that there are challenges. Trinidad and Tobago is a beautiful, lush, vibrant, innovative and unique nation. One of if not the richest in the Caribbean region. One must experience it for their self in order to feel its spirit.

@@Profound_Travelz GREAT! You should visit for CARNIVAL, you will be blown away. You are about to witness "THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH"! Trinidad & Tobago is INDEED BEAUTIFUL.On your next trip you should go hiking, check out more beaches and waterfalls. Also take the party boat so you can go around Carenage area including Five Islands. Lastly spend at least a week in Tobago you will see why we are name after THE HOLY TRINITY.

Your ability to connect with the people and scenery is truly inspiring. Show them your videos, let them know what your objective is and see where it goes. It is my belief that you will get beyond what you think is possible.

However, "pipe could only take so much pressure". Meaning that everyone has limits and tourists should not take advantage of said kindness as trinis can flip that switch VERY quickly with DRASTIC outcomes *general disclaimer to any tourists thinking they're entitled to the fantasy island treatment*

Thanks for watching! Well we went to our airbnb in Santa Ana inland first. Our airbnb host set us up with a driver. Now, the airport is super close to city center, so a taxi can take you directly there. Prolly 15min from city center. Once you're there, it's easy to walk around.

Correction afro Trinidadian gained emancipation almost 200 years ago but the nation of Trinidad became independent 60 years ago. In addition most indentured laborers did not receive land

Did most indentured servants work for free? Did they get anything at the end of their contract?
They got way more land than our ancestors, the British made it illegal for former slaves to own any land.

Level 4 not to travel are countries like Haiti,Syria, and others I ended the video by just watching intro because carefully consideration must be administered not saying I think only contributes to the negative assumptions narrative Trinidad is dangerous
I mentioned that in the beginning of the video but the state department is not always reliable about the warnings. I use to live in Costa Rica, and the capital city is one of the most dangerous places I've ever spent time in, but the state department didn't reflect that because of all the western tourism there. If a country is not at war or violent conflict with other nations, then I consider going anyways

T&T have it issues especially crime, murder and gang violence which for some strange reasons after the Pandemic many population seems to have increased violence and criminality usually a beautiful place
I'm not judgement of no country because many societies has social issues what I am unaware of that I researched places to travel rather any travels advisory they never accurate or updated, didn't know San Jose was a violent city looks developed and relaxed
@paul-lq5nw it's sad, I been following Ecuador because I was plan on visiting. The protests in Machu Picchu, Medellin, Haiti, and I went to Cuba for a 3rd time this past summer and things were not good at all.

Not at all... depends on your energy and lead yourself with ppl for the most part. I always lead with respect, and I'm assertive only if I have to be. Many of the locals were simply educated about the history of colonialism in their country. Maybe that scares some white ppl, but I didn't notice any true ill will
