However when i get to actual embroidering the image, these lines dont appear on the actual work and it comes out fine. Any idea why this happens? I confirmed in using correct files and everything. Hello. Brand new to Hatch. After stumbling along unsuccessfully most of the day I found you ! Yeah! But following you got to the locate artwork manual file and kept getting no files in the folder and a blank page. Noticed that your setting were same as mine but nothing in that , or any artwork folder. Only when I changed the ‘showing’ to ALL ARTWORK FILES did the pictures finally show up. How is it that yours show when the ‘showing ‘ is set to the first option ‘all in one design files...? I’m really interested in giving this program a real chance but so far I am more frustrated than happy. Already appreciate you. Hope to find videos in some sort of order that helps learn from step to step. Thank you. Can you explain why mine do not show like yours?

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  Pƙed 6 lety +1

      the reason for this is pulll compensation - the amount that the thread pulls the fabric when you are stitching. In every design, you have to account for pull compensation. If you create more of an oval in hatch, you will stitch out a circle. try it :)

    • @26coolami
      @26coolami Pƙed 6 lety

      Thanks so much for replying. I keep my settings as :-

      Is this ok??

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  Pƙed 6 lety

      you should probably leave the settings at default. It's more about the shape you design than the settings. there is going to be pull compensation on everything you stitch! It's one of the "rules" of embroidery.

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  Pƙed 5 lety +3

      Thanks, but in embroidery, they are called FONTs...built in fonts as opposed to alphabets. I call it the same as the creators do in the software, and they all have "built in fonts"

    • @cassielavallee389
      @cassielavallee389 Pƙed 5 lety

      @@OMLembroidery Even if it is "industry-wide", it is till INCORRECT. The correct term is typeface. Microsoft changed it to "font" to make buyers believe they were getting more for their money by listing seven typefaces as twenty-eight fonts because it was seven typefaces with three fonts added to each typeface. "Industry-wide" does not mean right.

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  Pƙed 5 lety +5

      Sooo....Ok, does it really matter? I will still say FONT because that is what people understand. I am not sure what you have against the word Font, but it really has nothing to do with the video or anything else on my channel. Font is industry wide in embroidery, and I am gonna go with the flow on this one. You can say typface if you want, but I don't think you need to tell me what to say :) Thanks for your opinion though, always appreciated Cassie.

    • @OMLembroidery
