Some time ago my hubby dismantled an old glass panelled door and I was left with 16 pieces of glass.I wanted to paint some thing on them and still have not thought of any ideas up to now.I have not painted a grid on one side so I can use the pother side to mix my paints as you have just demonstrated ,Thank you Clive

Old or ruined bristle brushes are great for painting fur. I'm lazy and don't always clean them properly, so they splay; great for cat paintings!

Great lesson Clive you explained fur so well ! I have a white cat how would I do that ? Would I start out with a dark grey, she looks to have cool undertones !

Can I ask you something , I'm just painting a rock / cat mainly because i'm usless at eyes but the cat is cream with darker points what base colour would be best to start building the colour up to the cream fur ??
Believe it or not I would use a dark ground and work up to lighter layers

When you use your fan brush, it makes much more "scritchy" sounds than mine. What kind of bristles does yours have? I get frustrated with mine because it clumps up, like it is too soft to hold up to the paint.
I use a bristle fan brush not a man-made one
